I prefer the 'Why the hell aren't you playing CALL OF DUTY?!' thread myself I was surprised at how SLOW this thread has been since it's creation though... probably an all time low - hopefully a great announcement tomorrow will liven the mood.

Hey I've got a question about Downloaded songs. I've got Rb1 and am gettign RB2 soon. I know they charge you $5 to port over your Rb1 songs into RB2, but can i buy other DLC now, and will that port over to RB2 for free, or will I need to pay another $5? Or do I need to wait until I get Rb2 to do any DLC?

Any DLC you've downloaded will play in both RB1 and RB2. No need to pay extra or anything. It's always there.

I'm hoping for another surprise like Nirvana and Motley Crue. Pearl Jam's Ten or some Alice in Chains.

With Foo last week though, I'm going to hedge my bet on Jane's Addiction or SRV.

Basically of the 20 songs on the Track Pack:
5 already owned
10 on my "Want" list
5 I am indifferent about but wouldn't mind having.

Assuming I can buy this for $30, download the 20-song pack with the code, play for a few achievements while I try to unload it for $10-$20, I will do fine on a $/song cost.

So, the question is looking forward to Track Pack Vol 3. I'm assuming that either Monkey Wrench or My Hero will be part of that pack. I'm assuming that Jane Says from Nothing's Shocking will be part of that pack. I'm assuming Dammit (which I haven't bought yet) will be part of that pack. And so on...

Vol 1 came out merely 4 months ago for the PS2/Wii. If Vol 3 comes out in 4-6 months from now, can I wait on purchasing songs that I feel will be hits to get a package discount? I mean, there's no risk of those songs disappearing from the marketplace or the prices going up from 160 points, so what's the rush, really?

Or is that just dumb and I should buy what I want when I want even though I'm already looking at rebuying 25% of the disc they're about to release?

Opinions?
Just to kill the time, I'm bumping this and hoping for a bit of discussion. Does anybody have any thoughts or find themselves in a similar situation?

Unless there is another AC/DC type expansion, I'm sticking with DLC. Not worth the hassle to save a few bucks.

When does it come out? I might try and rent it and get the code that way.

Gamestop says it ships 11/17.

Is renting really possible for these codes?

Also, I'm not really too concerned with this particular volume, but more looking towards the future releases and what they may contain and skipping "popular" DLC now for that possibility.

We haven't had any girl songs lately. My bet's on No Doubt.

Appetite would be great. I'd settle for a GNR pack.

Chinese Democracy is coming out soon so it's a possibility. It's probably more likely than Appetite or a GNR pack, as much as it sucks to say.

thats sounds more like a GH move than RB. Hopefully RB paid their dues already by putting Shackler's on RB2 disc...

right, but those are all old songs on good albums. I'm thinking this is more like the way they handled Motley Crue.

Also, how do they have a Girl of Metal, and not include some of the heavier Evanescence music....
