Evanescence is something I suggested when I redeemed the free tracks.

I'll probably check out the two LC songs. Haven't heard of any of the other bands.

Is Wikipedia's List of downloadable songs for the Rock Band series missing something? That's what I used as my starting-point.
AC/DC = 18 songs

They may still have the rights to the song, but I can almost guarantee it will be completely recharted. All of the "duplicates" so far have had different charts.

Yup. Looks like I added Dr. Feelgood before the official announcement and left T.N.T. in my spreadsheet. So now I agree with everyone with 345 DLC currently.

That brings us to 484 songs in RB2 (487 on the platform if you count the 3 still on RB1).

Not sure what HMX will call the 500th song, or if they'll make a big deal about it.

Nothing drastically has changed unless I haven't played it yet. Regardless, it is easier for them to have an already charted song to start with.

I really like Evanescence, but I don't think they would translate very well. I would think they would be hard to sing, and the guitar parts ( when they even exist ) would be extremely boring. Unless of course they do what GH did in GH III with the (relatively)easy dropped tuned songs ( Disturbed & Skipknot ) and make them artifically harder then they would be on a real guitar. Too much piano and not enough other instruments.

HMXalex, who is no slouch on the drums, can back me up on this. And if you're looking for tricky bass songs then dive right in to this three pack.

These are among my favorite tracks that we've put out, and I am seriously in hardcore heaven right now.

Police Truck got a surprisingly lenient edit, considering the content. Only the obvious naughty words (4 in total) are omitted, but the rest of the song in intact.

And here's where I chime in. Drummers are in for a hell of a week this week. The Mission of Burma stuff is challenging without being brutal. Some tricky, speedy rhythms. Of course, I'm also stoked because they're one of my favorite bands, but they're super duper fun, too! So that's bonus.

The Dead Kennedys stuff is straight up insane. California Uber Alles is probably my favorite, but Police Truck and Holiday are both wicked fun too, if very, very tricky. Expert drummers are going to have a field day with this stuff.

Yeah, the first thing I thought when I read Mission of Burma is that they should be great drum tracks. I still haven't checked which songs they are... but I figure I'll be getting at least a couple of these this week.

Confirmed. In for all three Mission of Burmas.

Guitar Hero, Rock Band Add Killers Tracks
By Chris Kohler November 14, 2008 | 3:32:00

Both Guitar Hero World Tour and Rock Band will add downloadable tracks from The Killers later this month, say Activision and Harmonix.

Each game will get three of the Las Vegas band's tracks on November 25, the day that its new album Day and Age hits stores.

You'll be able to download two singles from Day and Age ("Human" and "Losing Touch") on World Tour, as well as the classic "Mr. Brightside."

Representatives of MTV told Wired.com that three Killers songs would appear on the Rock Band music store on the same day: "Mr. Brightside," Smile Like You Mean It" and "Spaceman," the latter another new single from Day and Age.

The Killers' "When You Were Young" was included on the original Rock Band disc.

Definitely in for Mr. Brightside on the 25th. Hope we get more that week than just the Killers.

Installed RB2 as soon as I finished updating the NXE and making my avatar, but didn't have time to play anything before I had to come back to work and start class.

Thank God they announced those Killers songs... After the crushing disappointment of Quantum of Solace, I came here to see this week's DLC announcement which IS NOT my cup of tea... that Killers news is the only thing making this day not suck donkey dick

Definitely DK for me, been waiting for it. Maybe the girls of metal, too - I like the Lacuna Soil song on RB2, and it's got a pretty cool bass track (imo).
Can't wait for a DK track to pop up on random when my wife's singing, she *hates* them.
Pity I just sent my box in for Unreadable Disk yesterday
Come back soon!

No DLC for me this week...again.

I'll definitely get the Killers though.
