Just played it for a couple of hours. Not a bad game, but IMO not in the same leauge as COD 4. The 3 maps that are on the beta are very large and most of the time people were camping. There are some pretty cool new perks. The biggest problem i have with the game is the guns are terrible, i guess im just too familiar with the guns from COD 4. With all the new games coming out i dont know if i would spend $55 more to buy the game or just continue playing COD 4 until COD 6.

My impressions cross-posted from my clan forum:
It is pretty much a complete copy of CoD4.
Many of the perks are the same. The menus are exactly the same (barracks, create a class, challenges to unlock things etc.) but there are some new perks. Every class gets 3 perks and a 4th vehicle perk (things like a faster turn speed on a turret, quicker turret fire, fast speed on vehicles). Tanks are a big pain in the ass since they are so incredibly tough. I made every class have a rocket launcher as a perk since the maps with tanks need something like that.
I found myself enjoying it merely because it was something new to see and i freaking love how CoD4 handles leveling up. I really enjoy the RPG-like character progression.
Flamethrowers are a no-show at this point but the molotov cocktails are pretty cool. Overall though i am kind of bored of the WWII scenario and the number of obnoxious asshats seemed pretty high. I don't think i played a single match where i was on the German army and i didn't have an 8 year old spouting Nazi garbage.
Hardcore matches needed some balancing imo. It still took far too many bullets to take someone out. It wasn't as bad as normal (or Core as it is called) but it still took a good number of rounds from a heavy machine gun to kill someone and that was crap imo.
The dogs though are awesome. Instead of one helicopter circling the map you have like 5 dogs barking and hunting down people to tear out their throat. They are especially nasty in hardcore and it is cool seeing them all over the map since they start out in a pack but they do split up. What makes them easier than a chopper is you can kill one of the dogs with just a couple bullets so they are easier to take out than a helicopter. No more peeking to pop off a couple shots at the chopper and it just nailing you.
I realize it is running on the CoD4 engine but many things run on Unreal and don't exactly copy Unreal.

Here is a PC Beta Code for anyone who wants it...
"As a member of the CallofDuty.com community, you've automatically been assigned a PC CD-Key for the Call of Duty: World at War Multiplayer Beta:
CXCP-JTSA-EAQS-37JA-BF3C"
I wish I could have used my 360 code, but like others I received my code 4 days after it expired...

If anyone else has a 360 code they won't use, I'd love to take it off your hands.
I too have a PC key that I won't use. PM me for it, I'll send it later tonight when I am home to get into my email.

If someone has an a PC code they will not use I would be grateful if you could send it by PM. It would surely be used before I get home this evening if posted here.

Is the PC code not linked to my account? I am in the 360 beta and got a PC beta code that i won't use. I hadn't thought about giving it away since i assumed it was linked to my COD online account... is this not the case?

I just saw the 'Zombie Mode over at TeamXbox and not bad. Kind of reminds me of the early mods for Teamfortress or UT. It's not telling though any levels, length or amount of players but not bad.

Been Playing the PC Beta, and looks pretty much the same as COD4, theres some really nice lighting on the map roundhouse. the Temple place and jungle area arent very good maps, Some of the visuals arent that good, the maps are as well done as on COD4, the Dogs instead of helicopters are neat at first but not nearly as awesome as a helicopter or as fun as being able to shoot a chopper down.
Weapons arent as fun as the COD4s ad all the laser sight etc. The games MP is fun but maps, weapons and perks arent as good as COD4's. The only thing that really makes this game fun is its doing almost the exact same thing as COD4.
the Tank in Roundhouse, doesnt work well, its not balanced. and makes me wonder how the rest of the MP will be with vehicles.
