Question about Nintendo DS Wi-Fi

I know I'm incredibly late to the game with this, but I just got my wireless home network set up over the weekend (and also got my PS3 connected online as well) and the next thing I'm thinking of is playing some DS games online.

According to what I read on wikipedia, the DS is compatible with WEP encrypted networks. However, when I set up my network I encrypted it using WPA2. So does this mean that unless I change my router settings to encrypt using WEP that my DS will not be able to pick up the wireless signal?

I was also wondering about how the DS functions when the wireless router has MAC address filtering enabled. I had this problem when connecting my PS3 online and had to add my PS3's MAC ID to the allow list on the router. Is the DS able to connect when the router has MAC address filtering enabled?

Thanks in advance!

The DS only supports unsecured and WEP networks. You will either have to downgrade your entire network to WEP or stay offline with the DS.

With MAC filtering on unless you add the MAC it will not go thru.

Hmm.. thanks for that info about WEP encryption. Does the DS actually have a MAC Id and where would I look to find it?

Should be in the DS WiFi Connection setup.
Options>>System Info.

Note that you can only access that info if you have a DS game that is wi-fi enabled in the DS, if I recall correctly.
