anyone else having problems signing on?

i'm online, but every time i try to start mp it tells me i can't sign on

off topic, but i saw that you were able to get pre-orders from best buy with the toys r us deal. how did you manage that?

i went today and bought 6 games at best buy:

also had a $55 gc and $60 from my father who wanted tiger woods...so ended up paying around $80 after tax for 5 games.

i plan on exchanging mercs 2 for farcry2 next week, i wanted to pre-order it but they said they only take the $5 down payment.

I think I just got lucky and found some employees willing to go through the hassle and make it happen. It is a very YMMV deal. If I were you I would just save my receipt and not open Mercs 2 and just swap it for Far Cry 2 when it comes out. It sounds like you bought a bunch of games as well. The one downside is that I'm going to have to return to BB every few days to pick up another game (besides my bank account taking a hit).

yeah i haven't opened it and won't. i made sure that tiger woods was the free game, even though i said mercs 2 up above. i didn't know if that would be an issue but wanted to be on the safe side.
i saw a commercial for farcry before south park last week and was blown away. i can't wait to play that game. i never even heard of it before the ad. i think it will be a big upgrade over mercs 2, which i rented and had fun with it but could see it getting repetitive really fast.
just curious, did you get a copy of boyz-n-tha-hood dvd (with saints row)? they didn't have any copies at my store. was trying to get them for as much freebies as i could lol.

I forgot to even look or ask for a copy. I feel good just to get a copy of Saints Row 2 for free. Besides, I already have the 2-disc set of Boyz so I didn't really need it.
