I bought it.
I think my expectations were so low that I was kind of shocked by the game. I had a blast with it.
The most disturbing part of the game is that it could have been epic if they would have just concentrated on Royale and stretched the length out. Some of the levels were a blast and have the "cover" system was a ton of fun.
My biggest complaint is the graphics drop on multiplayer. In my opinion, it takes a huge hit.
I ended up craigslisting it last night as I have GOW 2, LBP, R2, and COD 5 on tap...but I would totally get QoS again if it hits $20 or so to run through it on the hardest level.

I was playing this last night and really enjoyed it. The cover system is pretty good and I like the melee fighting. I've been playing on 007 mode because I heard it wasn't that hard and I heard right. I'm about halfway through with one night's worth of playing.

I have a good feeling this game will drop like a rock once QOS is out of theatres. I'll just wait for a good sale, but I look forward to playing it.

I'm glad that I only rented this game. I anticipated its release, but it was somewhat disappointing. I had quite a bit of fun with it but it was short and doesn't really have much replayability except for the mediocre multiplayer. Overall, the single player experience was fun, but nothing amazing.

I agree. The first level was a tutorial, so there wasn't a lot to it. Quite a few of the later levels were decent, but there were mediocre levels as well.

I finished it and had fun with it but it seems like it should have been made 10 or 15 years ago. Ringing cell phones that give you the exact amount of info you need due to a "memo" to the thugs? Same 3 lines said by the thugs every time? Swat team descends on you, you take them out, and then suddenly everything returns back to normal? Predictable A.I. standing still in the same places until you take them out using "stealth?"
All of these things have been done a million times and done better. But it is a quick time waster that obviously wasn't supposed to be taken seriously.
The MP was okay but if I want to play a game with the same controls as COD and feels like COD...I'll stick with COD.
But at least the action scenes in the video game were better than the actual movie.

I gave up on getting the three multiplayer achievements I planned on getting (the one for five territory wins, one bomb defused as Bond and an escape as Bond,) because the game kept glitching on me whenever I'd try to get either of the latter two. I'd have to wait years to become Bond (usually a few games - not rounds) and then I'd get server errors. Screw it.

I guess that depends on when you play. I had trouble connecting last night but had no trouble on Saturday night. The five territory wins is pretty easy. I haven't tried for the bomb defusal or escape as Bond. Got the melee the guy with the golden gun achievement. That was cool.
I also beat the game on 007 mode. Which isn't much of an achievement but it's the first time I've ever beaten a game on the hardest difficulty.

Re: Quantum of Solace (360/PS3)
I finally got around to playing this, and so far I enjoy it. I am about 2/3 of the way through playing at the normal level. There was one glitch that I ran into on the construction site where it looked like I was playing on my back. I was looking up at everything, and wasn't sure if I was supposed to be or not. After failing at it a number of times, it corrected itself.
I haven't taken the time to read the manual (I got the CE for half price at TRU here in Canada), but what are the cell phones for? I do pick them up when I see them, but I don't really got out of my way for them. Is the information in them helpful?

OK, I am at the train part now, and I am on my back again? WTF? Anyone else hear of this? Is it something that I did? Is there a way to change the camera POV or something? I am on top of the train, looking up at the wires. I got here by looking up at the ceiling of the train cars and navigating my way there. WTF?
Found the reason. Apparently one of my controllers acts up sometimes, and for some reason, only with this game. Very odd, I tried the same controller with other games with no issues. Back to the game!

Continuing on my Bond series play. This is now my favorite Bond game I've played so far, even though it was very short. Great controls with a fun cover system. No driving levels. Levels look real good and were fun to play. Felt great playing as Bond since U could see Daniel Craig actually on screen. Too bad it wasn't 2 separate games based on each movie. Completed on Hardest difficulty.
on to 007 Bloodstone (first time playing)
