I still have all my achievements but all my unlocks and progress are gone. What the hell happended. I went to options and manage data and tried loading from HD but nothing.... I just don't get it.

PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DVDChris 10-01-08 10:47 PM

Damn - I would have been in for some drumming, but by the time I figured out how to accept an invite, it was too late.

:blush:

Are you sure your charging controller isn't signed in as your main profile, then the guitar shows up as a different profile - so none of your stuff would be accessible.... this should fix itself if you unplug the controller, turn off and on your guitar and make sure you're signed in as you (of course by now you've probably turned off the xbox and this problem won't happen when you turn it on with the guitar)...if that's not the case - OUCH.

So anyone who downloaded some of the RHCP album - which songs are the most fun to play? I've decided not to go for the full album so I'll only be buying a few tracks, looking for suggestions.

Larry C. 10-02-08 09:52 AM

Yea I tried all that. What a piece of crap. I even went into options and there is an option for load data and I chose the HD and still nothing. When I go to the memory blade it has RB2 saved game data, options and games, but still nothing. I wasn't to far along yet since I haven't had much time to play. The last song I unlocked was Journey I think. I just don't know what could have cause it. I sure don't want for it to happend again.

Soooo long to the "Dirty Beavers" Band and hello to the "Mike Honcho Spreading Butt Cheeks" Band!!!!

DVDChris 10-02-08 12:10 PM

I really think the save is under a different Xbox profile, which is why it won't show up when you are logged in with your gamertag.

Mad Dawg 10-02-08 12:17 PM

Umm...Motley Crue's imeem page, which I asssume is run by their management says:

Spoiler:

All you fans of Rock Band will want to check back on October 14th to download the entire Dr. Feelgood album through your console's online marketplace!

Ohhhh man I so want to play Kickstart My Heart. Please let this be true.

argh923 10-02-08 12:30 PM

My wife and I have been bitching about all the new Crue but no classics...I would LOVE it if that were the case.

lobo23 10-02-08 12:34 PM

There is a link from Motley Crue's official site that points to the imeem page. Looks like it's true!

Oooohhh.. yeahhhh....
Tho I would have preferred Shout at the Devil or Girls, Girls, Girls... Dr. Feelgood has just as many hits. :up:

shumway 10-02-08 12:50 PM

I wonder if Harmonix will do the same thing they usually do when someone leaks info early and push it back.

Mok 10-02-08 12:50 PM

Track List:

* "T.N.T. (Terror 'N Tinseltown)"
* "Dr. Feelgood"
* "Slice of Your Pie"
* "Rattlesnake Shake"
* "Kickstart My Heart"
* "Without You"
* "Same Ol' Situation (S.O.S.)"
* "Sticky Sweet"
* "She Goes Down"
* "Don't Go Away Mad (Just Go Away)"
* "Time for Change"

Michael Corvin 10-02-08 12:56 PM

I'd be down for a few of those. Probably not the whole shebang though.

:lol: No kidding, Harmonix doesn't like anybody to steal their thunder, do they?

SexualPudding 10-02-08 01:08 PM

I'm in for Dr. Feelgood, Kickstart My Heart, Same Ol' Situation, and Don't Go Away Mad.

Liver&Onions 10-02-08 01:19 PM

:dance: :dance:

;)

argh923 10-02-08 01:24 PM

Without You would be a snoozer. I could care less, though....I'm still in for the whole thing. This is probably as close as it'll get to me getting a full album I want. :lol:

Haven't talked to them in a while. Just haven't crossed paths in a while. I'll see if I can't get you some other vague info next time I see him.

The same 4 I'd be interested in...Kickstart My Heart for sure, I'll see about the other 3.

thelwig14 10-02-08 01:32 PM

Really would prefer the route they took with "The Who" and have a hits package. I love Crue, but I would not dl that whole album.

Exact same, but I will get "Without You" and a "Time for a Change" depending on the videos.

Couldn't agree more. I'd nearly cream my pantalones if I saw a list including stuff like "Too Young to Fall in Love", "Live Wire", "Looks That Kill", "Shout at the Devil", etc.

Draven 10-02-08 02:04 PM

As long as it's the actual versions of the songs and not some stupid live treatment (I'm looking at you AC/DC) I'd be in for three or four of those Crue songs.

That's exactly the kind of stuff I want to see in Rock Band.

They didn't really have a choice on The Who considering the missing masters. And unlike The Cars which I picked up 6 of the 9 songs, I like the whole Dr. Feelgood album.

SexualPudding 10-02-08 03:12 PM

I'm guessing they went with the Live Donington tracks for AC/DC because it is the closest thing they have to a "Greatest Hits" compilation. I still would have much preferred they put together their own "hits" package. It was probably the band's (and their management/label's choice anyway.

nodeerforamonth 10-02-08 07:04 PM

I'd prefer live versions than not. For one, there's more guitar solos. Extended guitar solos.

It only makes sense: the entire premise of "Rock Band" (and Guitar Hero) is that you are playing live, in a club. When I see a band play a club and it sounds like the album, I'm disappointed.

tonyc3742 10-02-08 07:26 PM

I've downloaded the previous Crue songs, but Dr Feelgood, while it's good, is my least favorite Crue album. Still, it would be fun.

That's a good point about live albums--I think I read that two of the ACDC tracks are over ten minutes long thanks to solos and jamming. I think one of my peeves of live albums is when they're not mixed well, where you can barely hear the drums or guitar over the loud crowd screaming, and of course the vocalist's condition makes a difference as well.

They had a choice in that they could have gone the 3 pack route. There is always a choice.

And unfortunately they don't understand that "Leeds" is a rare, rare exception to the Live rule. I am really curious to see how Donington comes out even though it is also considered on the upper end of live recordings.

pinata242 10-03-08 09:33 AM

Somebody on the RB forums noticed that the daily Rock Central blurb mentioned today is Gwen Stefani's 39th birthday. I could go for a No Doubt pack announcement today.

Hoping the surprise Crue news is true because of a few of the tracks and the possibility for other surprise albums by EOY :up:

Larry C. 10-03-08 09:48 AM

I have this CD and even LIVE is sounds fantastic.... It really adds to the music. I think the point of the game is for you to feel what a band might feel like playing live. I think we are gonna be surprised by this.

I'd rather the choice be mine. If I want a The Who 3-pack, I can buy that. But if I want 12 songs, I can get that. Or anything in between. I think to devilshalo's point, they had advertised Who's Next, so since the masters weren't all available, the next best thing was a 12 pack essentially chosen by two members of the band. So from their perspective, they promised the album, so the "didn't have a choice" but to deliver something album-sized.

Greatest hits, or Best ofs, are great in theory, but I just don't think those are as easy to come by as one would believe for a ton of reasons.

As far as live tracks, as someone who doesn't generally like the idea, they obviously do understand that Leeds is a special case, or those wouldn't be the only 3 live tracks we have so far.

They look to be taking great care to make sure that the AC/DC tracks are quality as well, especially since it was probably the only AC/DC option available to them. While it is kind of up in the air as to whether these will be Donington tracks only, or a collection of their best live performances, they have a pretty major engineer, Mike Frasor, remixing the tracks specifically for the game. It's obvious that they want to get the best quality possible from live tracks.

SonOfAStu 10-03-08 10:23 AM

I much prefer the AC/DC Live album to any of their studio recordings, so I'll love this.

pinata242 10-03-08 10:53 AM

Apparently the Offspring 3-pack ad is back up on the dashboard now. If so, that's probably "all" we're getting. Would still like to see No Doubt thrown in for good measure, but 4 albums in a row (5 if MC is true!) is probably way overkill.

I'd be happy with just 3 from the Offspring.

Offspring eh?

I guess I'll wait for MC.
