Here's a BotB that's kicking off tonight at midnight EDT: http://www.rockband.com/battle-detail/week5_dant

 I love the rules. One song, by the dev's band, requiring the dev's instrument (I assume).

I still can't see any of the pictures or custom merch because of the strange linking problem I'm having along with 22 pages worth of people on the RB support forum. I know it's "only" been a week and a half since the problem was first posted, but it's getting really annoying.

I dont mind the bump back just make sure they get it right.

Without knowing exactly what Nintendo's solution is for storage its hard to justify building an RB platformer out of it right now. No reason to invest in DLC for Wii that will have to be repurchased if I go 360.

pinata242 10-16-08 12:49 PM

I know, I just wanted to make sure you knew how much more rocking time you could get in by switching teams now ;)

bunkaroo 10-16-08 12:53 PM

Man when I read the first line of the post I thought it was saying all 3 were bumped back.

The other factor is that everyone here is 36'deed and there is passionate community here that loves these games and I'd like to be an active part of it.

Its not really about switching, as I'd still have a Wii its about adding more replay value long term. You guys add massive replay value.

Ya, but this is a large factor if I do end up getting a 360. So ultimately its your fault! :D

thelwig14 10-16-08 01:36 PM

Skid Row:

18 and Life is a guarantee b/c it is already charted.
Youth Gone Wild (hopefully)
I Remember You (hopefully)

Alice Cooper:
Not knowledgeable enough about his catalogue, but would love:
No More Mr. Nice Guy
School's Out
Poison or I'm Eighteen

that would be the best 3-pack ever.

Michael Corvin 10-16-08 02:21 PM

I'm definitely down for a Skid Row pack(no love for Monkey Business?) as well as some Alice Cooper. Makes you wonder if that will be the announcement tomorrow to tie in with the show.

No idea, but it's not going to be anything that's not already available as regular DLC. Therefore, the only reason for us to get it (or even rent it) is for the 250 achievement points, and the possibility of an export (probably a 1-time use thing like AC/DC).

Yeah, I know. I said when the achievements were revealed that I only had 1 of the 7 they listed. If I extrapolate that to 3 out of 20 then I'm looking at 17 songs for $30? $40? I'm ok with this for the right $/song, especially if I can resell the disc after exporting the tracks and getting as many achievements as possible.

I have to admit this is also making consider at least picking up RB2 for 360 and a guitar separately. If I didn't have a couple friends who seem to have a PS3 in their near future, I would definitely buy the full kit for 360.

So speaking theoretically, if I wanted to switch all my RB playing to 360, I'd probably have to buy:

RB2 Special Edition
RB1 disc
$5 for import of RB1 songs
Rebuy DLC for 360

Now, for those of you who have been playing online together, are you still going to be playing a lot of the songs from RB1, or are you just focusing on the new stuff now?

Also, in order to play as an online band, all 4 people have to purchase a DLC song to play it together, correct?

Michael Corvin 10-16-08 02:43 PM

When pinata and I played we did the challenges which are a good mix of RB1/2/DLC.
