There's a difference between getting into the music, and acting like a retard. I never rock out too hard to lose my combo. I see it as practice for any live events that we end up entering, as they usually have a "showmanship" category.

I'm with Shagrath. Half the fun of playing Rock Band is flailing about.

If I were ever to play with someone and they were like "OMG noob don't jump we just lost the multiplier" I would probably kick them out of my house. It's a fucking <u>video game</u>. Have fun.

I agree completely. I was just playing off of the common misconception that to play the Wii you have to flail around.

I only do vocals in RB but i am always standing up and getting into the song. I do that even if i am playing completely alone on a solo career. Looking silly is part of the fun imo.

edit: I also have to commend Corvin on his awesome joke. Combining the Wii stereotype with a Wii=penis joke, and then bringing in the permission from the wife... it was a trifecta of humor.

Raul3 10-10-08 10:05 AM

I don't remember the song but there was this time I was rocking so hard I ended up in my knees and playing guitar in my back.... I felt so cool!

Yeah, we medium players have fun too. :p

I love this crazy ass assumption that you can't have fun with the game sitting down, or that jumping around magically makes the game 37% better.

Ghym 10-10-08 10:34 AM

I don't jump around, but I will sometimes put my foot on the table or get into a metal stance or something, if I'm really into a song. I normally play it standing. I did play a little sitting late last night, just because I was going through a challenge again, just to get the outfits. I didn't care how well I did. If I'm playing something like Painkiller, Battery, or Peace Sells though, I usually start to rock out.

GuessWho 10-10-08 10:40 AM

37%?

In a row?

If you're one of those people who sits down while playing Painkiller, then I'll send the hate right back at ya. :johnwoo2:

I hate you because not only can you play Visions in the first place (on Expert no less) but you can also play it while doing the things you described.

My hate still stands.

So not only do I hate the game, I hate the player as well. I am shallow like that.

The only time you're allowed to sit while playing is if you're on drums.

Do you ever go to a concert and see some dude sitting down playing guitar? If so, it's not ROCK.

That is crazy. Everyone knows that jumping around makes the game at least 45% better. If you can scissor kick, that will add another 10%.

Do i detect Sarcasm or did you think it was really that hard?

Wow, my bad...I meant "Eye of the Tiger" is stupid hard for being the 2nd song in the easiest tier. It's those damn super fast yellow notes. I guess I was too pissed and tired last night to name the correct song :)

I actually attribute this to the personalities of the gamers. Those who have met me in person would probably describe me as a rather... enthusiastic and dramatic person. Some might use meaner words *looks at Spider* but i'm pretty animated in a simple conversation. Therefore when i play a game i'm waving my controller around, pointing at things on the screen when i'm telling my teammates stuff (and this is playing Halo with people online!). So a game like RB brings out the part of me that wants to perform more than i want to do well. Therefore sitting calmly and playing seems boring to me.

Someone who isn't as ridiculous as i am who doesn't find the antics fun wouldn't understand at all how gesticulations would affect the fun factor. That is to what i attribute the division.

You sir, need to youtube some Rodrigo and Gabriela. They sit down and they do in fact shred. :D

Liver&Onions 10-10-08 11:18 AM

Well, I am fucking sorry for sitting down while playing drums :(

But I will say, on some songs I fuck around with giant arm swings and shit. Ask Pinata, I was sucking balls on Livin' on a Prayer one night - but that's because I was trying to do some sweet drumming moves. I can't wait to get the cymbals.

While they're very talented, acoustic guitar and shred do not belong in the same sentence, in my eyes.

Alright, i am lining up with Spider now.

They basically play acoustic metal. She is absolutely ridiculous with her picking hand in how she keeps the percussion beat while still finger picking as her hand moves so quickly it is a blur.

Either way. Dead to me Shag, dead to me. :P

Exactly. When it comes to you, I was thinking "spastic."

Don't Go Away Mad (Just Go Away)

All tracks are masters.

Mötley Crüe's Dr. Feelgood album is available for $15.99 (1280 Microsoft Points) for the whole album or $1.99 (160 Microsoft Points) per track. These tracks will be available on Xbox 360 on October 14th and on the PS3 on October 16th.

pinata242 10-10-08 11:34 AM

Looks like they've left T.N.T. off instead of merging with Dr. Feelgood. Probably a good move.

2-track discount for the full 10-track album.

Think I'll get 3-5 of them, need to relisten.

Looks like HMX gets another $16 bucks from me this week! They are really pumping out the quality DLC as of late. It's really a good thing I stocked up on that Target deal. Hopefully there's another one by the end of the year, as I only have about $200 in points left.

Ghym 10-10-08 11:40 AM

I'm in for the whole album.

pinata242 10-10-08 11:40 AM

You know, I always want to know the DLC ASAP, but it really sucks this surprise album got ruined for HMX.

Can you imagine how powerful this would have been if it hadn't been leaked?
