Oh man, back when this was BetaTalk, it was crazy.

I'll be down for trying out the Rummy game. Finally a 400 pt game again. Seems like it's been years since we've seen one of those.

Jon Blow debunks that and a lot of the common theories in the various interviews/content 1Up and the A/V Club did with him a week or so ago. He basically says (and I'm leaving out his much of his contradictory, pretentious rambling) that no one has got it yet.

I thought Castle Crashers was great. May be one of my favorite "fun" 2D action platformers although they sure ripped a lot of things off from other games. (I'll think of it as homages).

Blah.

On a more positive note, Shred Nebula's demo was actually pretty good. Not $10 good, but good.

I'm curious to see if less than fifty people on 360voice.com purchase Shotest Shogi. I have no idea about that game, but can't imagine it'll sell well here, especially at 800 points.

BTW: From last week's games, 214 bought Priates vs Ninjas Dodgeball and 88 purchased Shred Nebula (that's double the total of Double D Dodgeball, but still a major dud).

That's too bad. The Pirates vs. Ninjas demo was awful in my opinion, but Shred Nebula deserves a little more attention. I wish MS would allow a price point between $5 and $10, which would be perfect for games like that.

I've been reading entries on the developers blog on CAG. He seems like a cool guy and I would like to support independent developers. Still, I couldn't get into that game at all -- it seemed really difficult to control for me. No way I want to spend 800 points on that. It's not like there aren't more than a few space shooters already on XBLA.

N+ and Buku Sudoku DLC release this Wed.
Posted Sep 8th 2008 4:30PM by Dustin Burg
Filed under: News, Xbox Live Arcade, Xbox Live Marketplace

Sneakily tucked in towards the end of this week's XBLA game release announcement is news that N+ and Buku Sudoku will both be receiving new (and paid) downloadable content this Wednesday.

Metanet is releasing a 200 MS point N+ Levelpack that's packed with 150 single player levels, 50 multiplayer race levels and 25 multiplayer survival levels. While you're at it, feel free to pick up N+'s July DLC as well. If number puzzles are more your thing, then the new 200 MS point Buku Sudoku Puzzle Pack may just be the DLC you've been looking for. It adds 1200 additional Sudoku puzzles to the mix which the Gamerscore Blog crew kindly broke down to being "six new puzzles for one Microsoft Point!" If taken further, that breaks down to one puzzle for every 0.167 MS points or $0.0020875. See, math can be fun!

Ok know thoughts on S. Showdown 2, and Rocket Bowl. Rocket bowl is kind of cool but not sure if I want to buy it. Showdown reminds me why I hate the game, but it makes me excited for other snk games

Does anyone know how the leaderboard that shows on the dashboard is calculated (geowars2)? I'm beating down Boogieman187 in all areas except one yet he's still way ahead on the overall leaderboard - you know, the one that displays in the dashboard.

Nevermind - I think I just realized it's based on Deadline.

I assumed it was the total of every mode. I guess that isn't the case?

Nah, it's just Deadline. I don't know if that's Bizarre's benchmark mode or if the XBL interface by default takes the first available leaderboard.

Do I know my peeps or what? Survey says...... 46 gamers. DOA.

And, for the record, RocketBowl was 153 and Samuri Showdown 2 was 262, which shows that people are much more willing to buy crap at 400 points than 800 points.
