Finally, a download for all those people who said "I love Minesweeper, I just wish it wasn't free to play!"

Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)
The NHL 3 on 3 plays exactly like i thought it would which is good but not having any of the NHL teams really hurts it.

Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)
What is with the weird sound effects especially the menu sounds. It's ok the rink feels a little too small and clausterphobic
|
Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)
Did anyone try this demo? You only get to play for like 10-15 seconds. Barely get the thing loaded before it cuts you off  I get that it's minesweeper and I know what to expect, but would it have killed them to let you play a full game in each of the modes? Even if only on Beginner. What a joke of a trial. |
Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)
Wow, they should have let the small grid be fully playable in the trial at least.

Asmodee Games have revealed that French strategy board game Dungeon Twister will be making its way to the Xbox Live Arcade, courtesy of Hydravision Games. Dungeon Twister is a multiplayer title where you must escape the Dungeon, or destroy the other players. The Dungeon Twister website explains it better than I ever could: In Dungeon Twister, each player represents a team of 8 adventurers and magical creatures that have been teleported against their will into a mechanical labyrinth that is packed with traps. Your team is made up of 8 characters and 6 objects. The board is composed of 8 independent square rooms that are able to turn on their axis’s. So the labyrinth can change at any moment! Before you do anything else, you must choose 4 characters from the 8 you have in your team. These four will be your starting lineup and will be placed in your starting zone. The other four characters along with all your objects will be placed face down, one after the other in the labyrinth’s rooms. Here's the Board Game Geek entry: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/12995 |

We're currently obsessed with Last Night on Earth, I'd love to see that get an XBLA release.

Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)
This week's XBLA game is apparently Death Tank.
http://kotaku.com/5154429/this-week-...ade-death-tank I was excited until I saw the 1200 MS point price tag. WTF? |
Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)
1200 must be the new 800.
|
Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)
Looking at that particular game, I'm not sure who thought that price point was a good idea.
|
Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)
F that. It's F'n Scorched Earth, for F's sake.

Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)
Seems odd to charge 1200pts for this when Worms is out there for 400.

Sure, they look similar from screenshots and whatnot, but they're going to play completely different. |
Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)
Real-time costs 800 points ;)
I kid, I kid. I don't really think they're going to get far with this title at this price point. I reserve the right to be blown away on Wednesday and stand corrected. |
Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)
The extra $5 isn't going to kill anyone, and if it does, then $10 probably would maim them as well.
I guess I'm impervious to this "economic recession" or whatever it is we're in. I'm in the process of purchasing a house (with pool and jacuzzi, woo!) and am on my way to a promotion as well. Times really have never been better for me. |
Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)
You heard it here first, Shagrath will be gifting Death Tank for the next 10 people who reply!
;) |
Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)
Shagrath, you seem convinced that this is a great game, but I'm not sure why.
$15 certainly won't kill me, but I'm not about to just drop it on every game that comes along. I'd rather pony up the extra $5 for "The Lost and Damned" plus 3 months Xbox Live. |
