Yeah, you can just "Purchase" them. You can't get this week's exclusive freebies like Wild Arms and Patapon though since those actually have to be bought through the Vita itself.

And if you wanted to, any free PS Plus Vita game could be downloaded to your PS3 and sit there awaiting transfer to your Vita, but of course, you don't have to do that.

Apparently if you have a PSP and MediaGo installed, you can also download the games that way. But you either have to have a vita or psp.

I got an email stating...

Now is the perfect time to buy a PlayStation®Plus 1-Year Membership. You'll get a $10 SEN wallet credit, in addition to a year of PS Plus benefits. That includes 12 hit games for PS3™ and 6 for PS Vita, with new games to play every month, and exclusive discounts up to 75%.

Offer valid through 4/1/2013*
So I'm wondering if this will stack with the March Get $10 For Every $50 Spent promotion?

It won't stack, because it's the same thing. They're just promoting Plus and letting you know about the current spend $50 get $10 deal.

It's not the same thing. Plus is $49.99, which is under the $50 threshold. So I'd say there's a good chance you'd get both, as long as you buy something else to get that extra penny.

This new credit is probably taking the place of the 3 extra months they were offering a few weeks ago.

I don't know if it applies this month, but last month Sony said they would spot you the extra penny.

I'm about 99% sure it's the same promotion. Here's the Playstation Blog advertising the spend $50 get $10 promotion:

Starting February 26 and throughout the month of March, we’ll be offering you the chance to get $10 back for EVERY $50 you spend using your SEN Wallet! This means that if you spent $100 you’d receive $20 back at the end in April. Everything from games, movies and TV shows — anything that accepts SEN Wallet funds — is fair game. If you were thinking of subscribing to PlayStation Plus, now’s a great time to do it. Grab the 1-year membership for $49.99 to get the most of your PSN experience, plus a little extra cash back.
You see how they're pushing PS+ with this deal. Same as that email you got. And you'll also notice the end date is the exact same for this deal and the one in your email.

The Playstation reps have already confirmed that spending $49.99 will get you $10 back.

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2013/...very-50-spent/

So if it’s $50 you have to spend, $49.99 probably isn’t going to cut it. You still have to spend that extra .01.

+ Pierre Gravereau on February 26th, 2013 at 9:45 am said:

$49.99 will cut it. No worries.

If I spend $49.99 on a 1 year PS+ suscription do I have to somehow spend 1 cent more in order to complete de $50 and be elegible for this offer?

+ Pierre Gravereau on February 26th, 2013 at 10:06 am said:

Yes, you would be elligible. You won’t need to spend an extra $0.01 to qualify. :-)

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

Really late Playstation Plus update today, but really awesome (at least for me) content in April. Five games, and I don't own any of them. That's got to be a first for me! Also one is a new release, which is always nice to get for free.

April Preview

The following games are slated to be free to PS Plus members through the Instant Game Collection in the month of April.

Demon’s Souls (PS3)

PSN Price: $19.99, Free for PS Plus members

Demons Souls
Beautiful, compelling, and unforgiving, Demon’s Souls is the ultimate hardcore RPG experience. Revolutionary online features support your adventure like never before, presenting seamless interconnectivity that serves in every instance to enhance the single-player game. Leave hints and clues for those who will follow in your footsteps either intentionally or through your own inadvertent demise, your bloodstains will allow your successors to view a replay of your death, hinting at how to avoid your gruesome fate. It’s an in-depth action RPG that offers hundreds of hours of gameplay. If you can tackle the learning curve, you’ll find one of the most ridiculously rewarding games of the generation.

SOULCALIBUR: Broken Destiny (PSP, Supported on PS Vita)

PSN Price: $39.99, Free for PS Plus members

Soul Calibur Broken Destiny
Battle as one of many returning Soulcalibur favorites, each enhanced with tuned balancing, new moves and animations. Play the dedicated single player game mode: Trials, developed exclusively for this Soul Calibur outing and evolved versions of classic game modes like The Gauntlet and Versus. Blow away your competition using finely tuned and enhanced battle mechanics including critical finishes, Soul Crushes and equipment destruction and unleash devastating combos.

Malicious (PS3)

PSN Price: $9.99, Free for PS Plus members

Malicious
Take control of the Spirit Vessel and battle waves of brutal fighters and colossal enemies to rid the world of the evil force of Malicious. Gain new weapons, build your powers and perform devastating combo attacks as the final showdown between good and evil draws near. With a beautiful art style, Malicious is a treat to look at and will be coming to PS Plus later this month.

Labyrinth Legends (PS3)

PSN Price: $9.99, Free for PS Plus members

Labyrinth Legends
Are you daring enough, crafty enough, powerful enough to become a legend? Brave the mysterious tunnels, mystical crypts and maniacal creatures of Labyrinth Legends. Explore hidden catacombs and ancient tombs of lost civilizations while evading concealed traps and solving an array of intuitive puzzles. A unique combination of crisp graphics and dazzling visuals, inviting exploration, tricky puzzles, and exciting monster-slashing arcade action makes Labyrinth Legends quite the thrilling game.

Zombie Tycoon 2: Brainhov’s Revenge (PS3 and PS Vita – Cross-Buy and Cross-Play)

PSN Price: $9.99 Free for PS Plus members

Zombie Tycoon
Pick your side in the epic war between two evil masterminds: apprentice-gone-rogue Orville Tycoon and his army of heavy-duty zombies, or his vengeance-thirsty mentor Professor Brainhov and his frantic masses of agile undead! Post Z-day, Tycoon’s mad machination to extinguish all life in Finkleville has almost reached its apogee. During the final siege on the human fortress, his former mentor makes a sudden comeback, seeking retribution for his apprentice’s betrayal and eager to reclaim his rightful place as alpha mad scientist. Only one question remains: who shall win? Slow zombies, or fast zombies? Find out as undead armies clash in both the immersive single player campaign and the competitive multiplayer mode!
Leaving PS Plus In March

Thanks Decker. Now you have your Atlus game as proof that "Catherine" is possible ;)

Contemplating if I should bite the bullet on the other 3 episodes of Walking Dead for nine bucks (already have the first 2 from when they were free), or if I should just wait for them to be free. I've been bitten before buying these Telltale Games at a PS+ discount only for them to be free a month or 2 later.

There are discounts for Hot Shot Golf Out of Bounds Complete bundle (yet again) and for Zombie Driver HD for $5.99 (don't bother, it's a really repetitive, simple game).

I'm really excited for Guacamelee which is a Cross-buy game coming out tomorrow that looks awesome. I was hoping for a day-1 sale, but I guess we don't get one, so I'll wait on this for now.

It did change. For free PS Plus stuff, the main link is now "download", not "purchase", so you go right to the download instead of checking out first. If i don't want to download something right now, I have just been cancelling out of it as soon as it starts. I don't know if there's a better way, but it works.
