It's a really unique game, though. I'm having fun playing it. It's a nice change of pace and feels like a side-scrolling Katamari game with puzzle elements. It's beautiful looking too.

I tried the demo. It's okay. I see why you say Katamari-like, but for me it's probably closer to Osmosis (but a platforming game as well). It doesn't have the best or most precise controls, which really hampers a platformer. Also I thought the "running" mechanic left a lot to be desired; sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. Overall, I like the demo, but didn't really feel the desire to pick up the full game -- especially at $15. Might grab it when it inevitably drops by 50% at some sale or if it becomes a PS+ freebie someday :fc:

Pac Man CE DX is absurdly awesome...buy it.

The demo pretty well captures the gist of the game, but there's a ton of content beyond that, and the whole premise is just brilliant.

Didn't realize there was a statute of limitations.

Noted.

Statute of limitations? No.

Existing thread? Yes.

Missed it...but in my defense, it was a Pixy thread. :D

I'm only through the first level so far but I'm really loving Explodemon! It's very different from Splosion Man and I like it a lot better. It sorta reminds me of Megaman. I know people love on Splosion Man but something about that game never connected for me. So far, Explodemon is everything I wanted Splosion Man to be.

First thoughts on Stacking:

- Love the visual style and gameplay. I like how you're encouraged to replay challenges and solve them in different ways.

- HATE the cutscenes. They're utterly pointless and they go on forever.

I'm definitely gonna buy Explodemon when I get home - seems like a good deal for ten bucks. Also, it seems like a cross between 'Splosion Man and Mega Man, which is a good thing!

Ha!

So far it really is a better game. Gonna try and play some more today, see if it continues to hold up.

And for the record, I also really dislike the cut scenes in Stacking.

Just finished my review of Tales From Space: About a Blob. I enjoyed it quite a bit, although I did experience some control issues as well. It'll be up on VGT within the next day or so, I hope.

A day or so? That's some Wicked turnaround time

PixelJunk Shooter 2 coming March 1st.

Loved the first game, but it was a bit short. Hopefully this one's a bit longer. Don't really care about the multiplayer though.

I feel like the first Shooter was essentially the tutorial course, it was so short. I did enjoy it though and am looking forward to more Shooter and hope it's at least twice as long.

Also, finished Stacking this morning. Obviously an easy and short game. Found it amusing in general, but I am glad I didn't pay $15 for it. I also had to keep reminding myself that it was a children's game. Lots of hand-holding but it was a nice short distraction.

Just finished Stacking this morning. It was pretty good. I liked the new take on the genre. Its creativity made it easier to overlook some of its shortcomings.

PSN is taking a page from the Steam sale recently. Penny Arcade bundle (1 & 2) on sale for $2.99 this week. Great deal.

I'm thinking or getting it even though I just got the PC version in that Steam sale.

I think Episode 1 is free on PSN. At least it's a demo that's available, but I think its the entire first episode. Grab it.

I wonder if it has the achievements. Also, I like the idea of the bundle but I don't like the idea of paying up front for only 20% of it right now.
