I forget, is there a way to have PS+ games be retroactive if you aren't active that month? I let my sub lapse, and I don't use multiplayer, so I'm in no rush to renew. But I want Day of the Tentacle at some point in the future when I do renew. Isn't there a way to download it or something so when I do renew, I will have it for free?

No. In order to claim it, you need to have an active subscription at least one day between January 3rd (when it will go up) and February 7th (when it will likely go down). So you if you don't reactivate your sub before February 7th, you're out of luck for January's freebies.

Yeah, if you buy the year subscription it breaks down to just over $4 a month (assuming you can still find the $50 cards in store and online). At that price I'm still surprised when I hear people say they don't have PS+, especially with all the free games every month.

Same thing with CoD and Battlefield this year. Both games have gotten down to the $30 range and people were probably more inclined to drop another $50 to get all of the map packs since they got the game for half price. |

Well I already have The Order, Knack, played Tomb Raider on 360 (great game). Lords of the Fallen and both Metro games are worth that no matter what....but I'm trying to wrap up Titanfall 2 and the last part of Shadow of Mordor before Horizon: Zero Dawn and For Honor hits....

Went into the PSN store on my PS4 last night to purchase a couple of games since the website was acting up and noticed they sent me a $10 voucher. Ended up buying the following....

I ended up getting
Knack The Order 1886 (had played it as a rental, at that price, figured it was worth picking up to revisit -- then found that it was one of the games that didn't get saved to my cloud before my HDD got wiped :( ) Alien Assault Android Tetris Ultimate (PS Vita) Child of Light Ultimate (PS Vita) I tried a little of Alien Assault Cactus. While I loathe the name, that game is actually a really fun twin-stick shooter. Of course it doesn't compare to Alienation, but on its own merits, it's fun and a nice game to play with my son as a quick compeditive shooter. |
