The real question is, will there be a drum kit for the PS3 that will work with both games?

My fix was low-tech. I ripped a business card in half and stuck it in the little groove on the side of the neck, and slid it back into the body. I did that back in November, I guess. Been working great since.

I vote GHIV. Music editor, better quality instruments. Easier to read notes. Then get the RB2 disc only.

But in the end it's the music. Wait till the songlist from GHIV comes out and make your decision on what songs you'd rather have.
Agree completely.

Nope. It will probably be a slow trickle of announcements to detract from the RB2 launch.

See, I don't see how anyone could write off GH:WT in the music game wars when they are bringing Michael Jackson, the Eagles, the Doors, Hendrix, Van Halen & Steve Miller together. Those are huge names that are going to appeal to a lot of people. Personal tastes aside, those six names give me the impression that GH:WT is going to demolish RB2 the way GHIII has done to RB in regards to sales. Not to mention I have zero doubt there will be bigger announcements to come.

I think it's too early to tell. The investment in GH games so far have all been under $100. Not a lot of families are going to invest in $100+ video games no matter how good they are. Will the GH:WT drum set have a separate sku? If so I may just get that and the game separate to save some cash.

They have to sell the drums separately. They can't only sell it in a full package because they've pledged to support RB drums. If they don't offer their own, every with 1 or 2 GH guitars will just buy the standalone RB ones.

I thought Amazon had a listing for a drum kit with the game but if they did it's not showing up now.

Who is writing off GH:WT Some people might choose RB2 over GHWT, but I don't think anyone thinks they won't compete and/or win.

As far as I've seen, people are only writing off Rock Revolution.

There's been a post or two referring to GH:WT's impending doom because everyone is jumping ship to RB.

I think we can all agree on your last sentence though.

I like both games, RB is way more realistic (not over charted) and has WAY more songs with available DLC. GH is way harder (way over charted), and more challenging for those great players, but generally has bigger better songs on disk since they pay more for the songs (they have the money i guess)... Both are great games though and I will own both

question for those in the know - will either game support online co-op career mode? That would be a big sell for me (although I'm already getting both).

RB2 is getting online BWT. I guess that's pretty much the same thing.

Bah, at this rate RB3/GH5 will just be Guitar Hero Presents Rock Band World Tour: Reunion Edition.
