GH:WT guitar bundle plus Rock Band 2 game by itself.

Then go to the Westlake Blockbuster where they are renting Rock Band 1. Rip those tracks.

Buy AC/DC tomorrow night at 12. Rip those.

Buy a ton of points. Go nuts in the Rock Band store.

Done.

With the drum problems that GHWT has been having, I'm leaning toward getting the full-band RB2 and guitar bundle GHWT.

Even though my kit was busted (I took it back and got the guitar bundle...just will never get into the drums), I could never go back and try the RB drums. Having the cymbals raised made such a huge difference. The RB drums just feel like a toy to me now.

Read the last few pages of the first GH:WT that was closed last night...

Then read the last few pages of the current RB2 thread.

Anyone got the RB2 add-on cymbals yet? If those get good reviews that might put me over the top toward the Rb2 drums.

One other question: I've heard that when you use RB2 drums on GHWT the game drops a note/pad on the screen. Does anyone know which note? (yellow, orange, etc).

The cymbals actually got an 8.5 at oxm:
http://www.oxmonline.com/article/rev...-accessory-kit

My brother has them and said that they actually seem to be built very well and work as advertised (which is almost unheard of for a MadCatz product.)

The mapping is down to 4 on WT but I haven't connected to know what drops though I would guess orange since it's last on the screen and there isn't a orange pad on the RB drums.

Broke dn and bought GH:WT for my kids(can't play till XMAS though) Been getting mixed reviews for GH:WT but will take the chance anyway....I read somewhere that RB2 was selling more units than GH, but I still don't see them in stock at WALMART (360 version) at least?

Pretty sure GH has a huge lead in sales over RB.

But the sales are misleading with the DLC revenue not being taken into account.

Sort of makes sense that you wouldn't see them in stock if they were selling well, doesn't it?

As thelwig says, all the numbers so far shows GH is selling more.

What about for Wii?

Rumor has it RB2 shipped last Thursday and it'll be in stores this week but I'll believe it when I see it...

The Wii version of RB2 actually supports downloadable content (!) direct to your SD card (!!)

I picked up RB2 for the Wii at Sam's last Saturday. By that point most of the Best Buys in Austin were sold out. Would have had to go to Killeen or South Austin to find it.

I have a Wii and a 360.

I have GH3 for the Wii and my parents have Rock Band for the Wii so I will probably stick with buying my next version on the Wii instead of 360.

Still undecided on GHIV or RB2. Right now i'm leaning towards Rock Band 2 standalone disc since the GH instruments are compatible with Rock Band.

Each drum set is best suited to the game it's made for. The yellow cymbal bothers me in Rock Band. But losing a lane in GH is bad, too.

Ideally I'd like a five pad RB style drum kit that has a similar layout to the GH kit, with the option of plugging in cymbals.

So the RB2 cymbal set just replaces the corresponding drums, right? You can't configure them so that GH World Tour recognizes five distinct drums/cymbals?

Right, WT will not recognize it like that.
