I'm not greedy -- I'm just waiting for all the DLC to come out so I can grab it all at once. :)

I don't blame you for being a greedy bastard. I'd be a greedy bastard too... if I wasn't a jealous little bitch.

The Pitt, if you actually try to get all the achievements, for me at least was a solid 5 hours. The whole quest was amazing looking, the story was interesting, there was multiple ways to finish it, and lots of killing. If it was part of the original game, it would have been one of the high points. Easily worth 10 bucks.

sounds much better than the last already! thanks

Well, I liked Operation Anchorage, I mean I thought it was OK, but I'm not enjoying too much this new DLC.
I don't like that it's too dark. No sun anywhere. I got 2 achievements and with the third I'll finish the story and I've been playing for a little bit more than 1 hour!
The other achievement is finding 100 ingots and I'll leave that for later.

I usually take my time with this game, explore everywhere, ask a lot of questions to all the NPCs, etc. but this time I just didn't feel engaged in the game. Maybe I wasn't in the mood. I'll try to finish it tonight.

I like this DLC better than the previous one. I got the first achievement and was on the second quest collecting the ingots and killing Trogg's. I found some Protectrons and activated them. Then I found a supply door, and said "Ok, let's check it out."

Then the fucking game froze on me. Total bullshit. I had spent at least an hour gathering ingots and killing Trogg's and Wildmen. I am so pissed I probably won't play this again for a long time.

That sucks. I guess you hadn't saved.

I had a froze too. I had to manually turn off the Xbox. But I had just finished a fight in the Arena, so I didn't lost anything, the game autosaves after a fight.

I finished it last night, it took me around 3 hours, the last part was better than the rest and it helped the overall score. Solid B for me.

Spoiler:

I just couldn't take the baby, I'm a such a goody good. I'm also a father, so that may have influenced my decision.
I didn't buy Ashur's (?) idea completely but thought that was better. I need to check what would happen with the other option.

I liked this quest a lot. It still felt like Fallout 3 while adding a whole lot of stuff. I recommend to anyone that hasn't played it yet to drop as much as weight as you can before you start the mission. You'll get lots of new armors and a new weapon. My strength wasn't too high so I had to drop tons of stuff that I could've sold previously. Although bottle caps aren't really an issue anymore.

As for The Pitt
Spoiler:
I really liked the arena aspect. Felt like a nice throwback to Oblivion. Even though it was crazy easy. As for the ending, I probably skipped out a lot. I chose the option "I'm the hero and I've come to kill you" so that bypassed any further conversation. I killed everyone in Haven and took the baby. No negative karma for doing so. The Trogs were hard as hell but it was a good challenge. I'm nearly invincible but the Trogs gave me a run for my money. Taking on 6 or 7 at a time was no easy challenge. But it was fun. Really enjoyed this DLC. I hope though that in the final DLC, there's some nice area to play in. I'd really like to see some part of the world that's unspoiled by the nuclear blast. Ala Oasis. Definitely worth it.

So what happened with the Slaves and the city? did they find the cure?

I chose to work with Ashur, so everything stayed the same. It was kinda easy, slaves weren't fighting me, they were busy with all the soldiers.

At the end Ashur told me that they will keep experimenting with the baby until they find a cure, but they don't know how much it will take. So basically everything stays the same, except for me of course :D

After I kill everyone and take the baby, the slaves overrun everything. They turn on the raiders. However, they aren't much help with the Auto Ax, they mostly die by getting shot. I bring the baby back to Midera. Werhner (sp?) sends me on another mission to shut down the controls of the floodlights in Uptown. The plan is to unleash all the trogs on Uptown and kill any slave master that's left. After I shut the lights off I have to fight my way back to downtown... lots of trogs. Midera looks after the baby, Werhner says he's gonna rebuild the city. More than likely he just becomes their new leader and everyone stays slaves. I did kinda what the US did with Iraq, I went in, took out the leader and fucked everything up.

I had the autosave from entering the Steel Mill. That's it. I also had to manually turn off the Xbox.

I like their honesty about what they felt were bad ideas for Fallout3.

The next dlc raises the level cap to 30, and it makes me wonder if all the playing I have done after reaching level 20, along with the play time on the new DLC has been saved some how?

I would suggest to folks who haven't played The Pitt yet to leave behind a lot of stuff at your respective house before taking the tunnel into the Pitt. I had waaayyy too much with me and there are some good weapons and armor that I picked up along the way that I now want to keep. I might start the whole Pitt mission over so I have more space to take these back with me.

But as far as I've gotten, it has been a really good addition to the game and I'm looking forward to the next DLC package.

Quick question, i am exploring the Red Racer Factory, and there is some crazy doctor dude up in the CEO Office, but when i try to talk to him, all I can say is Goodbye, it seems like there should be more to this... Is this part of the main story line, and I just havent gotten to it yet?

Anyone help please? (without giving away to much)

I could be wrong but I don't think any missions take you to the Red Racer Factory. I only visited it to get Nuka Cola Quantums. Don't know about the crazy doctor, I don't remember that.

It's not part of the main quest, but you can find out more about that guy if you have a high science skill. The main reason to go to the Red Racer Factory is to get Ledoux's Hockey Mask, which is one of the best if not the best headgear in the game.

Here's the full story if you want to read about it:

If anyone is having trouble finding the 100 ingots in The Pitt, here is a speed run video on where to get all of them. The video is just under 15 mins so it should be the best guide for this achievement.

Alright, last question. In the quest Head of State, i was helping the slavers, told them where the Union is, i have killed like 2 days waiting for Leroy to show up and he never does, or are they waiting for me in some hidden spot? All the people inside the union are ready for a war, but i cant find leroy or the other slavers outside anywhere and there supposed to be waiting for me... Any help where to meet them at?

I was going to the check earlier posts, but I see that it really is a long thread, 44 pages! (with standard options).

But basically, yeah, it can take a lot of time for him to show up, it's a kind of bug there. Have you checked in the metro station that is near the Lincoln memorial?

And well, yeah, check the previous posts that comment about that, a lot of people had the same issue.

Well, I just got this game last week and I tried to follow your advice, but apparently the deal is no longer available.

No, the CC deal is still available, you just have to be a real smooth talker to get it.

Sweet! I've been playing through the regular game and haven't downloaded any of the expansions yet. :) It's nice to know that when I'm ready I should be able to get all three and beef out my character even more!
