Decker, I confirmed that I have all the digital preorder items. The recipes, hound, and 15 character slots. Not sure if glitched since I didn't preorder the digital version or if everyone got it.

I got screwed. I bought it from the pre-order page, but on the release date. PSN rep told me nothing they can do. I miss out on all those bonuses.

FWIW...me and kanjji will go ahead and start our new Crusader tonight. Gator got on and got started but we were in ACT V with our Level 62 characters. If anyone else wants to start a new character this would be prime time and doing with a group of four is the way to go.
We ususally get going around 6:30-7 Central my time...kanjji is on the East Coast. Gator..not sure when you get on and didn't you say something about a "Friend' getting in a s well?
On a side note I think I got introduced to The Nemesis last night...twice...and the result wasn't good. Got taken out twice both times under a mintute. Sort of reminded me of The Stalker in Warframe. The target gets a warning and then WHAM. My controller started to vibrate, heard some whispers/sounds nd tehn a Tall Red Demon was right there.Bad news is he went after someone else on my friends list...

Heard on another board that the PS3 has some framerate issue on Chapter 5 because of too many enemies on screen. Look like I be getting the PS4 when I can afford one.

My PS4 copy came today, I have a few of you on my friends list, but others feel free to add me, Jason_C11, I'll go through and add people I don't have sometime over the weekend.

I think you're going to get that on all console versions actually. They've said they had to sacrifice frame rate sometimes to hit 1080p.

Wouldn't surprise me, I know people like to think Diablo could run on anything given that its a couple years old now but there are some moments with a lot of enemies that choke even some nicer PC's.

Fuck, my iMac runs the game at 1440p/60 on max resolution with no problems.

Having tested both extensively over the last few days, with a mind to produce a full Face-Off feature once the Gamescom mania is dispensed with, the promise of 60fps is, on the face of it, delivered on both of the new-wave consoles. We ran both versions of the game through our analysis tools, which reported a flawless frame-rate on both - but there's a catch.
Unique to Diablo 3 is its method of producing frames, where character animations, alpha effects and its lighting model are rendered independently of camera movement. As you can see in our video below, actual gameplay can stutter down to near the 40fps line on PS4, while the camera continues to pan across the environment at a clean 60fps. It's difficult to ascertain exactly why the game presents itself like this, but it may well be the case that Blizzard has adopted a rendering strategy that ensures a 60fps refresh regardless, while some important elements of the scene to be updated at varying intervals. If so, it's an interesting technique that doesn't quite pan out.
Our test is running the full, disc-based UK versions of each game, on the most up-to-date patch available at the time of writing. Specifically, the PS4 runs at full 1080p as promised, with patch version C2.0.0.24791 instated on the menu screen, while the Xbox One renders at a lesser 900p resolution with the C2.0.0.24514 build in effect. Of course, we're promised a day-one update to 1080p on Microsoft's platform, with Blizzard seeing an opportunity in the June SDK to optimise further.
Based on our video analysis, each game renders out a perfect 60 frames per second - but in analysing the all-crucial gameplay, we see frame-rates on both platforms running with different practical results. Based on our initial playthrough, the worst of it occurs at the very start on PS4; around the gates of the New Tristram hub area. Characters and projectile arrows can run at essentially half their frame-rates as skeletons rise from the perimeter.

The slowdown is very pronounced on the PS4, but not really bothersome.

Didn't get on last night due to the long awaited and impressive Warframe update but will be on this weekend. We're still wanting to get started on the Crusader so once again if anyone wants to start a new character it's prime time...

Well, most of the voice acting is very well done but I'd forgotten how terrible the guy who does Deckard Cain was (or maybe it's just more noticable on my Gold headset compared to computer speakers). I've come to dread talking to him. In no way does he sound remotely like an old man -- if anything, he sounds like Dana Carvey's Katherine Hepburn impersonation on SNL. There must be a huge budget at Blizzard; you'd think they could have hired an actual elderly man to do the voice work.
Also he constantly mispronounces Diablo as "Dee-ab-low" -- it's the name of the game, learn how to pronounce it correctly!
