Diablo III: Reaper of Souls Confirmed for PS4, Playable at Blizzcon

We’re excited to announce that Diablo III: Reaper of Souls on PS4 will be making its public debut at BlizzCon 2013!



In our action-packed single-player and same-screen co-op demos, players will explore the haunted streets of Westmarch as one of our five original classes, or test their mettle as the unyielding Crusader.

Attendees of the convention will also be some of the first in the world to take on Death itself using DualShock 4, armed with all-new social features and touchpad technology designed to help keep heroes on focused on what they do best: killing monsters.

Great news! Hopefully this means that Reaper Of Souls will also get released on Xbox 360.

I have it for the PS3 and have it pre-ordered for the PS4. I'm glad we're getting new content for the new console.

I know the bunch I play with are looking forward to this but it looks like it's still a ways off. There is still plenty to do in the game as we're finding out each day...especially with the challenges.

Borderlands 1 was my biggest blind buy and probably put more hours in it than any other game but Diablo III has almost taken over that position. The bunch I played with also played Borderlands and Defiance a lot and said the same thing. The biggest part of the game which we didn't realize till after playing for awhile was maps change often as well as the dungeons and "Special Event" pop-ups giving some excellent re-play value. Borderlands on the other hand never changed except AI strength went up. Defiance has some of that change which makes it compelling to play.

But the real surprise has been the visuals as we find ourselves stopping when we clear area just to really look at the detail in everything be it in dungeons, grassy areas, the desert, the fortress or in Heaven. And the lighting....really amazing.

I am having a lot of trouble beating belial in inferno. We had 2 people playing yesterday (barb and wizard). We probably tried 30 times. It is ridiculous. Any tips?

When in the fight are you dying? The part where he does that circle crap on the ground and you have to run away from it?

Edit: I don't know if this has changed but there used to be an enrage timer. If you took too long to kill a boss, the boss would enrage and it would wipe out everyone. IE on belial, the circle crap would just keep going until everyone was dead lol

Belial is probably the hardest boss in high difficulty modes. You have to learn to just stop fighting and avoid his attacks when appropriate. The ground explosions, the swipe he does, run away from all of that. Only attack him when it's absolutely safe.

How difficult is this game without other players? Can I be able to solo this? Even when I played Diablo and Diablo 2, I did play with others some, but mostly it was just me running missions over and over again.

You can play through the campaign on your own.

I've played mostly with someone else going thru but the few times I have played solo were good to. Just pick a good "follower" that complements your character and don't slack on loading them up. Set them up to help generate life and health while also dealing damage to enemies...it'll help you take them down faster.

I would be highly surprised if it didn't.

Having more players makes the game far easier, IMHO. It also makes loot better. Other than that, you can play this game going solo just fine. Try the public games if you're looking to try multiplayer but don't have a lot of friends with the game.

Finally got the 360 version....Frys had it for $40 and I had to cave. But will I start it this weekend, that's the real question

Finally beat inferno.

How was the diablo fight? When I tried it on pc awhile back I gave up as it consisted of me running in circles for the majority of the fight waiting for my shadowclone to go away. If I didn't, my clone would 1 shot me.

It wasn't too bad. I was running with a barb and I had a wizard with me too. Beat Diablo on the first try.

Belial, on the other hand, was a giant pain in the ass.

I've got four characters going, one at Hell and the others scattered around Nightmare. Usually there are just two of us that go thru. We had a third but he became inpatient and had someone load him up with those mega gems and he just wanted to run thru and level up. We're trying to stick to how the game is suppose to be played. If you see me on and need another let me know

So who has this for PS3?

I traded in my Xbox version to get the PS version when I recently bought my PS3. Need some coop buddies. :P

Fair enough. I started it yesterday. Did the usual, got my first character (Demon Hunter) to level 10, beat Skeleton King and that's about it for right now. I'm playing Normal to get the hang of it though I wouldn't mind the harder stuff later on. I'll keep you in mind, thanks

Pretty much what we did the first go around...Normal-Medium to get a hang of it...not to easy and not to hard. Second play-thru it was bumped to Nightmare-Master 1. With the one character in Inferno we bumped it to Master V...and it's a tough fight but we like it that way and plus the rewards in extra bonus, gold and magic item drop is worth it.

From BlizzCon...new cinematic trailer for the Heroes of the Storm...they do make some awesome cinematic stuff...

It's their new MOBA. There's Diablo characters in it.

ahhhhh....

After seeing and reading about the PS4 Reaper of Souls version I guess I'll need to start looking for some PS4 friends to play with
