re: Diablo III + Reaper of Souls (multi-platform)
I played the demo last night for awhile as the Wizard. I can see why the game is additive. However I picked up some items like daggers, swords and bows...what good are they to say the Wizard or WD? I take it you can...
...sell them ...put in your chest for another character ...or give (drop) to a friend? If that's the case the same can happen if you're playing as the Barbarian or Demon Hunter...pickup items that might be useful for another character or person? |

Dex=monk / demon hunter str= barb int=witch doc / wizard I don't know if all the items carried over to the console version but the items that have the lowered level requirement stat are great for huge damage boosts. |
re: Diablo III + Reaper of Souls (multi-platform)
Each class can equip (almost) anything. It's the stats that matter. On PC you can control-hover over a skill to see how the weapon you have effects your skill...not sure how this is done on the consoles.

also drops seem to be 99% stat driven toward your character. If you are playing a wizard and a fist weapon only a monk can use drops, the main stat on that weapon will still be intelligence. It is a little frustrating if you plan on playing more than one character as it is almost not worth keeping items like that. Nice though how you know drops can be good for you....
This carries over to crafts as well. If you are crafting a vitality amulet with your wizard, one of the stats will be intelligence. |

two items I got early...first the sun keeper. I have a dagger that is much better than this (my dps with the sun keeper is 160,000...with the dagger 189) but the attack speed is so high on it I can't keep my firebats up..

Playing Diablo 3 on PS3 and loving it so far. I got the jeweler to get to combined the jewel but how do I install them on the socket item? I think I had the blacksmith to install one of them but I can't seem to find anything on how to install more socket item? The manuel for this game is lame only just show the control of the game and that it.

Most people here have it for Xbox or PS3? My normal coop buddy sold his Xbox to get a PS3 a few months back and would like some regulars to play with if I give in to temptation. :D

click on the gem in your inventory and it will pop up all items you have on your character that have a empty socket...then you click the item you want to put it into. To remove it go back the the jeweler and click the remove button. The gem and item need to be on your character to make this work...the gems are kept in the bag at the bottom of your inventory wheel...

So I want both this and GTA V. But I have maybe one hour to play a day if that. Ugh. decisions!

Played the Xbox demo last night. I'm sold! It runs better and looks better than how I could run it on my Mac. The controls seem pretty solid too. I don't mind the inventory wheel. Took a little bit extra time to get used to aiming but it's not bad. I love the dash ability too.

re: Diablo III + Reaper of Souls (multi-platform)
There are several of my 360 friends who are getting this and we all have one major question....when playing coop how does the game manage players at different levels? Is it based on much like Borderlands where everything is based on the person leading/campaign or individual player?

It's based on the host's campagin.
On a side question how are those playing with multiple characters? Is it wise to play thru with one or more like stagger the characters? In Borderlands I would start with one and after say getting them to Level 15 start another. After getting the first up near Level 30, second at Level 18 start another. That way I kept handing down the good stuff a character had outgrown. |
re: Diablo III + Reaper of Souls (multi-platform)
Any chance that the first DLC Reaper of Souls also be on console? I understand that the new character the Crusader is like the Paladin on Diablo 2 which I thought was fun to play.

Sounds then close to the way Borderlands is. If that's the case does the points/rewards go down in value for those who are at a higher level than the host?

IE when you're lvl 20 you're getting lower level drops so it gives a good boost to dps. |
re: Diablo III + Reaper of Souls (multi-platform)
I grabbed the game from BB today...I was surprised to see they only had a few copies left even with a full size Diablo display stand and even the bin space was down to two.
Now the big question...what character to start out with. Wizard/Sorceress first choice followed by The Monk and then WD |
