i sure hope they have the servers good to go at about 10pm tonight. i am gonna be highly upset if I can't play my game that I paid $60 for.

Yeah, I'm sure they forced everyone who bought it to log in for fear of death. I doubt the stress test got half of what is logging in now

I said simulate, meaning not actually using real people. They only need to stress the act of logging in, which can be done without actual end users.

Thats true, but working with systems there are always issues you couldn't have planned on.. It may not even have been a login issue. Maybe they found a dupe bug or something. Who knows.

Yeah, I don't know exactly what their login issues were (obviously). I honestly think that Blizzard knows enough about servers at this point, that it was probably something other than "oh shit, too many people!", even if that's the way it appeared.

Yeah the message at the login screen says they anticpate the servers will be up at 1:30 PDT. So maybe only 75 more minutes.

Servers are about as stable as a meth addict on redbull.

Last time I played WoW, they had queues for that sort of stuff. Diablo 3 doesn't.

edit: I guess you just meant general stability. Well, true, it just seems like the Diablo 3 servers were overloaded. Usually on a patch day for WoW, it didn't seem related to them being overloaded.

Servers are working... sort of. Took a few tries to login, no error messages, it just sat there. Then once I got to my character screen, it took a few minutes before it allowed me to resume my game.

Unfortunately, it's probably only going to get worse in the evening as people get off from work and school.
