Thats a great list of songs from Offspring! I cant wait. Its time to pump some life into DLC with good, well known, songs that are fun to play.

Yup, I'd get that Offspring pack in a heartbeat. Finally some songs I've heard of

Just FYI, although The Pixies album for next week's DLC was announced already, a Harmonix employee on the official RB forum has hinted that there will probably still be an announcement of some sort today. Hmm...

They wouldn't dare do a whole album PLUS a 6-pack, would they?

That's good news! Maybe they're simultaneously releasing something that will rock the hell out of us in order to contrast the smooth rock stylings of the Pixies.

I was wondering that earlier.

It'd be nice, but I'm anticipating it'll be a "what's coming later" type announcement, probably for albums like they did in April.

Anyone know what the score threshold for gold star on Enter Sandman is (Expert, Drums)? I can get up to around 227,000/99% but keep missing a note or two for a variety of reasons. The top score is like 23k higher than that, which is craziness.

234,990

Sounds like you need a better overdrive path if you only miss a couple notes and are off by 23,000.

I'm assuming those songs are from the new album, because I haven't heard of them.

Looks like it's Pixie fest only for me this week

I saw Weezer and got hyped...then I saw the songs. I am a Weezer fan and those songs blow something fierce...Dreamin is the only one close to being bearable.

Yes, those are off the new album apparently. Weird they wouldn't do Pork and Beans. Must be saving that for the future.

Yeah, that I don't get. I also would have figured that an additional 3-pack on top of the Pixies album would have gone in a completely non-alternative direction. Maybe some classic or 80's metal or something.

That said, I really like 2 of the songs, so I'll probably pick up the 3-pack.

Weird. I can understand wanting to promote the new album, but you would think they'd do something like include 2 old songs people actually want to play and then one of the new ones.

I'll probably pick at least one of these up eventually, but I think $19 worth of Pixies songs will do for next week.

80's metal has definitely been overlooked. The only explanation I have is from a business standpoint Rock Band is holding onto those and release them near Rock Revolution to totally trump their soundtrack. They already have Poison, Ratt, Quiet Riot, Twisted Sister, etc... in the can (GH: 80's) and they could add the Rock Revolution songs to make a few packs.

Here's something to make the Weezer addition even weirder. Right on the front page of RB.com, they're promoting this:

Rock Band and Stride are celebrating the long days of summer with a rockin' event this Saturday, June 21st from 5:30am - 8:30pm in Ocean City, NJ on the boardwalk at the music pier.

Get your "band" together and come down for The Ridiculously Long Lasting Rock Band Off where you and your band will be competing for the chance to rock all day long at Crue Fest! The winning band will receive a featured performance on the Rock Band Second Stage, access to the Rock Band VIP Lounge backstage, and the Crue Fest track pack on Rock Band DLC.

The first 16 bands to compete at 5:30 in the morning will have an extra chance to win tons of prizes including Rock Band games, concert tickets and other awesome Rock Band gear, so get there early!!
http://www.rockband.com/events/stride/

At least we know it's coming, but Tuesday would've made sense given the timing. Hopefully the eventual pack is heavy on the Crue and light on the Fest.

Not bad on the Crue Fest bands. Never heard of Sixx: AM though.

I like Weezer but will probably pass on these. I'll take everyone's word on them.

Sixx AM is Nikki Sixx's (of Crue) side band. They aren't bad at all. Much more "poppy" than Crue though.

I'm geeked for the weezer 3 pack. I'm a huge fan of the Red Album.

Bummed we didn't get Pork and Beans though -- that's the catchiest damn song on the disc.

Hyped for the Weezer pack, although I would have loved to play Pork & Beans.
