For me, Saints Row 2 blew GTA4 out of the water....when it came to fun...

GTA4 is that perfect, big tits, gorgeous blond who sits quietly at dinner, picks at her salad, and lays on her back and only manages a "ahh" during sex...

Saints Row 2 is slightly over weight.... loves to play pool....will challenge you to a wrestling match/game/anything...and (edit...lets just say sexual stuff) her way with all the "ahh" and "ohhs" and "call me a whore" you could ever want...

I made an edit...mainly because now everyone will want to know what the original said...also because I probably got carried away...

I'll agree with whoever said that... Could someone explain the appeal of virtual driving/riding long distances to perform repetitive missions? Soooo much filler. Amazingly detailed worlds with excellent production values, but it always feels like nothing is actually progressing.

That's why they made the ability to skip to the destination. For people like you. I skipped to the destination sometimes, but I thought the funniest thing was to shoot a cop car while in a cab in GTA IV, and have the driver try and outrun the cops for you while you're watching in the back and telling him to change the station.

I changed my mind. You just lost your credibility. I'd buy a Barbie game if Rockstar made one. I trust them that much to put out a good product. With the exception of State of Emergency and maybe Manhunt, we've seen nothing but quality games from them.

Max Payne and Max Payne 2
GTA III, IV, San Andreas, Vice City
Red Dead Revolver and Redemption
The Warriors
Bully

So a young (teenage) relative asked me the other day if I had seen previews for a "Lanore" game (pronounced just like that). Took me a minute to figure out what the hell he meant.

Hey, other people here got in on that too and may not realize that they are once again letting people know that they are actually going to honor that stupid mistake. :p

You guys are still missing the fact that LA Noire isn't really a "Rockstar Game". All the other ones mentioned n Nickdawgys post were DEVELOPED and published by a Rockstar location. LA Noire is developed by Team Bondi with "Rockstar Games" in a supportive role. Now, Team Bondi may be consumed by Rockstar at some point then be called Rockstar Bondi - but until then...

Alrighty then. I suppose this shirt you get with purchase at Target doesn't really mean anything significant, right?

Can't wait to get this on Tuesday, since I liked Red Dead so much and I bet the same developers worked on this.

Unlike some publishers "cough cough bethesda" Rockstar has a strong history of putting out quality games under their brand....This is going to be a great game...

Since we all now know what happened to LA Noire, I propose a thread name change to "Official Rockstar Thread of Rockstar's L.A. Noire (New game from Rockstar!)".

 Really? could you elaborate on this a little more? I only ask because the only reason I still keep my console is because of their games.

I'm at the crossroads of Amazon Ave & K-Mart Lane. I keep waiting for SHC-Gamer to confirm this extra $20 game deal, but nothing yet. If not by the end of the day, I'll have to order from Amazon to ensure release date delivery. K-Mart isn't out of my way on Tuesday after lunch, so the gas and time isn't an issue, but tax does offset the $5 future credit difference.

He confirmed it here yesterday on CAG and said he would update the blog by the end of the day (which he didn't, BTW). I also noticed that there were a lot of game price drops this week. I'm thinking of getting Singularity with this -- a steal at $19.99, let alone free. Either that of the kiddie Marvel game that's a Lego-type rip-off -- it didn't get good reviews, but my son would love it and his 5th birthday is coming up.

Ok, cool  I keep checking the first post in the CAG thread (<s>is that the blog?</s> I see it's http://www.kmartgamer.com) and his FB page. Since I've never got a gaming coupon from them before, can I use those on MSP cards in the future? I realize they take time to become valid.

Decker 05-12-11 09:36 AM

Re: Whatever happened to LA Noire? -here's some info

Usually, it takes a week. Most of the time you can use them for points, but sometimes it says something like "game software" and the cards don't work. Remember also that this is a $20 coupon, meaning it would (presumably) work with a 4000 point card or a $20 PSN card, but not with a 1600 point card that retails for $19.99. Stupid, I agree, but that's the case.
