I have lived in OK for over 20 years...and in California for under 20 years...so I think the gay has finally washed off...except my middle name is Gaylord...so imagine the fun I had moving to Oklahoma as a senior in High School....telling everyone I was from San Fransisco...and them finding out my middle name was Gaylord...on top of that the school I went to in Oklahoma had 20 kids in my class...thank god I was the biggest kid in school....

I had a hilarious bug last night knocking out street crimes. I asked my partner to drive. His reaction was to run all the way around the car three times, jump in on the passenger's side, jump back out, and then stand in the middle of the road!

Were the driver's licenses back in the 40's really that inefficient? As far as I could tell, they were issued each and every year, not on the licensee's birthday but also listed the age which wouldn't be valid for a portion or a majority of the issuing year.
I couldn't tell if it was dumbed down for the player to have all the info (which never mattered) with no math or if it was historically accurate.

Don't forget that today only the Chicago Gun is free: http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/Pr...f-9051f12d1de0
I'm down for the pass since all I got for pre-ordering was a suit. This ends up being $2.50 per case, which isn't too bad. (I don't really care about getting more suits.) I'll be using points I got from Bing Rewards anyway, so it's not out of pocket. And I'm glad that these items and cases have been put on the market. Multiple worthwhile exclusives (here, cases) from different stores bug me.

As for the case...there was 2 parts that had me laughing...but it did not change the fact that the case was boring....

I ask because I still want to replay the game and 5-star everything. It might be nice to wait it out until all the DLC is done and then do it in a seamless playthrough rather than doing the main game again and all the DLC cases separately.

I also got the 47000 damage achievement on this mission because I did not have to worry about the 5 stars...and it was actually fun destroying everything...though sad that killing at least 5 people if not more (dudes are fast) was only a couple thousand in personal damage....

The DLC cases were all in the original game, but were cut due to the XBOX needing 4 or even 5 discs at one point during the making of the game. It got to a point where the only thing they could do to cut down on the disc needs was to cut cases. So they threw out stand alone cases that didn't really tie into the main story arc.
That's why Vice only has 3 cases, but is arguably the most important point in the game. 2 cases were cut from Vice, along with 2 from Traffic (including the PS3 exclusive The Consul's Car), and 1 from Arson. Homicide got spared, and is thus the only desk we got the full experience from.

So one of the cases cut to make the game fit on the 360's multi-disc schema was a PS3 exclusive? Are you sure it wasn't, maybe, to sell after-market content?

I still wish they would have done a Kill Bill with this. Cut it into two retail releases. The end of the homicide desk would have made a nice cliffhanger for "part 2" which could have come out 6 months later.

Re: LA Noire - The Thread.
The Kill Bill approach makes sense for a long movie - not everyone wants to sit in a theater for 3.5-4 hours. But for a game, especially one that's only 20 hours or so, I don't really see the point.
