I have Charter and have no issues streaming (though I typically use Netflix on my 360 and not my PS3).

We have a 20 Mbps connection through CenturyLink (formerly Qwest). The ethernet cable is going straight from the modem to the PS3 so it's not a wifi issue.

We're going to get the Hulu+ trial and see if we have the same issue with movies that way, too.

Good news:

Netflix & Discovery Channel Strike Streaming Deal

At last some good news for Netflix: The Discovery Channel has inked a deal that expands the amount of programming it will stream on Netflix.

The two-year, non-exclusive deal will provide Discovery Channel shows like Man vs. Wild, which had been provided already as well as new content from Discovery’s TLC, Animal Planet, Investigation Discovery, and Science and Military channels plus other titles from Discovery’s library. The deal doesn’t include content from Oprah Winfrey’s OWN or The Hub, a joint venture with Hasbro.

I love streaming. I watch tons of documentaries and tv seasons. I don't have a bluray player, so it is nice to be able to watch most movies in HD. I understand it isn't "bluray level" hd, but it is good enough for me.
