Delayed until November. http://www.ps3fanboy.com/2008/10/16/...h-reconfirmed/

No, I made that statement while taking into account the normal slowness. The speed at which this downloaded for me was epically slow.

I tried resetting the video by holding down the power button. And I tried different HDMI cables. I'd try the composite cables, but I can't find the stupid adapter wire.

One month past the warranty. This sucks. Anyone have this problem? Any ideas on a quick fix?
Have you checked your receiver and/or TV? I had an issue where I was getting gibberish on the screen though my receiver, though it was intermittent. What solved the problem was cutting off the power to everything (I just turned off the power strip then turned it back on), and that fixed the problem.

I've tried unplugging it, letting it cool down, and plugging it back in. That didn't work. I found the RCA adapter, and that works. The 360 and HD-DVD player work fine, so it's not the TV. I can't think of anything else. I guess it's just the PS3 HDMI outlet.

I did have a problem where there was video but no audio out via HDMI the first time I powered up after the 2.50 firmware update, but a simple PS3 power cycle fixed that.

Otherwise, no issues.

I wish Sony would add a remap controller feature to xmb instead of leaving it up to the game developer to allow remapping buttons. I'm trying to play Call of Duty 4 and it doesn't allow inverting the x axis which is making the game almost unplayable. I'm so used to controlling the free camera where right allows you to see to the left.

Yeh, that can take up to a month to get comfortable with, no doubt.

It is almost like trying to use your opposite hand for everything, can be done but you have to think before doing.

So, since I installed the 320GB drive, I've been downloading every demo I can find on the PSN. Has anyone else played Overlord: Raising Hell yet? I thought the demo was great. Very fun and the visuals were superb. I loved the art style. Is this full game available somewhere?

Anyone have experience getting an out-of-warranty PS3 repaired? Should it be sent in to Sony, or is there a good 3rd party repair outlet? If you sent it to Sony, how much did they charge?

Thanks.

I'm assuming the 360 and HD-DVD players use HDMI as well? Did you try running the PS3 through one of the other HDMI ports on your tv? Also, did you do the video reset trick after trying the composite cables?

Yeah, I tried everything.

Took a glance at the Playstation site. Looks like service on an out-of-warranty PS3 is $149. If it's going to cost that much, I might just buy a new one and use this on an SDTV.

Overlord is a fantastic, underrated and overlooked gem. You'll be happy with it. Overlord 2 is due next year.

Anyone here been playing HVB online? I downloaded it yesterday and am having a blast with it, but for some reason my ranking and stats aren't being saved, I am always at 1500.

I didn't notice this before... and couldn't see anything on the last couple pages. There's a 160 GB pack with Uncharted on Amazon.

That was announced way back at E3.

If Sony were smart, they would have bundled it with Little Big Planet. I think that would push a lot more sales than a year old game in Uncharted. Even better, if Sony really wanted to challenge MS and Nintendo for dominance this holiday, they would bundle LBP with the 80GB version and drop the price to $349, but that will never happen.

Anybody here going to venture into Rapture for the first (or second, or third) time with the PS3 port of Bioshock? Hit shelves today.

Got the Bioshock demo and loved the game! It gave me a good creep when on a part and I gasped and because of a sore throat, coughed profusely. Basically choking. So this one of the best games I have ever played and its one of the few I want ASAP. Hopefully by Friday Ill own it!

On a side note. WHats up with LAIR being so expensive still? I really want the game and saw the reviews last night and theyre down right shitty. Glad I havent bought it now.

Bioshock was my favorite game last year. I doubt I'll bother with the PS3 version, but I do want to go through it again at some point.

It's taking forever for Sony titles to drop in price. I'm waiting on Ratchet and Heavenly sword, both of which came out this time last year.

I just d/l the BioShock demo and need to play it. Everyone says that BioShock was awesome on the 360, so I think I'll enjoy it on the PS3.

I'm not sure that the PS3 controller is the greatest for FPS games but, Bioshock is probably the best FPS game available now on the PS3.

I played last year in my PC. GOTY for me.
I was planning on getting the Xbox 360 version eventually but I guess I'll go with the PS3 version... when it hits $30.

I picked up Heavenly Sword on clearance at Target for 14.98. It's a little tough to find but maybe you might have some luck finding it.

Nope. They were long gone by the time they hit $30 around here. I've already played through and finished it with a rental, so $15 is probably my max purchase price.

I still have Bioshock for 360 unplayed - it's been collecting dust since I got it upon release last year.

I've only played the PS3 demo and my copy is on it's way from Amazon.

Of course, there's at least a dozen game ahead of it in my "play queue".
