So anyone else pick up Disgaea 3? I got lured in by the preorder bonuses at rosenqueen, and started playing a little, but it just made me want to go back and grind some more through Disgaea on the PSP. At least they priced it right.

It is on my list, but I still need to finish 2 so I'm holding off for now.

I have decided to get rid of my PS3 and was curious if there is anything important that should be deleted/changed from the PS3 before I sell it. I never attached a credit card to it but did link a gamertag. Can't remember if there was anything else.

I believe you can FORMAT the HDD through the system settings...that might be your best bet to make sure it is "clean" for the next person.

Have any downloaded games you wanna swap before you dump it? :)

Drexl 09-05-08 04:49 PM

I would format the HDD, using the non-quick option. They say something about tools being able to recover the data with the quick format option.

Be sure to remove your user information. This is not stored on the HDD.

One last thing I would do before selling it is reset the video settings by holding down the power button for a few seconds when turning it on. If the customer doesn't know to do this, he might complain that it isn't working, if it's configured for the wrong video connection.

Never got any. It was strictly a BD player for me.

Thanks for the info on how to clean it up guys. Anything else, let me know. Good point on the video settings. You would think they would make the damn thing auto-detect by now.

The patch is coming next week to enable support in Rock Band for the GHIII Les Paul. That is excellent news and I will be buying a new guitar next week. I love Rock Band as a game, but hate their shitty hardware.

I was so happy to hear this. I hate their guitars as well and I'm just no good at the drums, so there was never any reason for me to pick up this game until I could use the LPs.

mattysemo247 09-08-08 09:50 AM

I'm sure it's a YMMV, but my local Target had Madden 08 for $4.98 and Kane & Lynch: Dead Men for $9.97.

Awesome news! I agree with your game/hardware opinion, so I'm very glad to hear about the patch. :)

Just read that Bioshock will require a nearly 5gb installation.

XavierMike 09-10-08 11:21 AM

Wow. Does that mean no load times? It will be worth it for that.

Hey, at least it's a graphicly-demanding title. Hot Shot Golf : Out Of Bounds requires that much space and it doesn't look much different from my PSP version.

Michael Corvin 09-10-08 12:23 PM

There's a comparison video up on gametrailers. Doesn't look any different than the 360 version.

Chew 09-10-08 12:24 PM

The 360 version (DVD5 or DVD9?) couldn't of been that much bigger than what this installation will require.

I guess that makes me much more excited for what's new/improved if they're making use of the massive additional space a Blu-Ray gives them.

The Pain update is live as of a few hours ago. Trophies are included and you can purchase the Amusement Park add-on through the game.

darkside 09-11-08 10:13 PM

Tested out Rock Band with the GHIII guitar and it worked fine except that the tilt seemed overly sensitive, but that may just be the guitar I have. I would be interested to see if anyone else with that tries it out notices it.

BTW, loved the Stephen and the Colberts song in the latest Rock Band update.

I was hoping the Pain update would be $5, but I can settle for $6. I will get it at some point. That game is a great time killer.

Wait, huh??? The GH3 guitar works on Rock Band now?

EDIT: Sorry, I just noticed the earlier posts about it, awesome!!!

XavierMike 09-12-08 08:00 AM

Hmmm...I can get the Rock Band disk only used for $20. Now i could at least use my GHIII guitar with it. Does anyone know if the GHWT instruments will be compatable with RB I?

Woh - finally a new level for Pain? I'm in!

Decker 09-12-08 09:34 AM

Before you can even start the regular game, you're required to DL a 350 MB "update". I wonder if that's the new level and game modes and after paying $6, you just unlock it.

It's probably the case, but I was surprised when I made the $6 purchase of the amusement park and had a 50 MB download after it. Usually the unlock key will be a very small file.

Raul3 09-12-08 12:27 PM

That 350 MB update took a lot for me. I downloaded some other stuff and it was quick, for the PSN at least, but the Pain update took a long time, maybe 30 minutes.

And I had already bought the amusement park add on. I also bought the latina girl, yummy! :D
