One thing I have been noticing, and is starting to annoy me is when driving and I find a clear lane. I am sailing along at a good clip when another car changes lanes right in front (or into) my car or bike. The happens a lot on bridges. I think it is funny that other drivers can cut you off and take you out at will, but the dumb cops swerve and hit a wall before you even come withing 200 yards of their cars.

When I drive across the bridges now, I tilt the camera up to a near top-down look, it seems to be the only way I can avoid those cars going at full speed.

Well, I finally got past the hospital mission and now I'm on Playboy's Construction site mission and that's another frustrating one.

It doesn't help I keep trying it at night, I need to do it during the day, so I can see what the hell I'm doing!

The best way about doing the construction site I found was:

Spoiler:
-Drive-by the first guy in the SUV.
-Drive up the ramp, use the car for cover and kill the 2nd guy.
-Sneak around the building, use the AR or the SMG to take out the guys and then kill the 3rd guy.
- Kill anyone heading towards the 4th and final guy, and then snipe him (I got him while he was climbing the ladder)

You need to complete both Little Jacob's first mission "Concrete Jungle" as well as Faustin's "Do You Have Protection?" to unlock the second Little Jacob mission, "Shadow."

What do you do with the cars you steal for Stevie? I found the first one, and the game just said "You've found the car for Stevie!" and didn't tell me what to do with it or add anything to my map.

I've had good luck speeding on the bridges in 1st person mode. I either hug the rail or go right between the two lanes with some sparks.

One time though I crashed hard and got ejected over the side of the bridge and landed on concrete. Ouch.

A garage should appear on the upper right borough on the map, near your safehouse there. I think it's Bohan? You take the cars there.

Cool. Thanks! The strat guide for this game is one of the worst/most unorganized I've ever seen.

Dumb question: Every time I collect $$ during one sitting, then turn the console off and then load up my previously saved game a few hours (or mins) later, the $ indicator always resets to zero -- is it supposed to be like that? Maybe I'm just used to RPGs.

Your money should stay the same as whatever it was the last time you saved the game. It should not reset to zero every time.

They are doing this to block the road, not because they are losing control.

I know what they are trying to do. All i was saying is the commuters on the bridge to a better job than the cops!

AAaargh

Spoiler:
After the second time through rescuing Roman, I made it...well kinda! I was trying to leave the construction site, and apparently I made a wrong turn. I was trying to weave through some stacks of something, and apparently clipped an exploding barrel. So now I gotta go again. The first time I was trying to get a guy behind a piller with a grenade, and apparently the was some exploding stuff nearby, and clear out my health so I was an easy target. I guess I should look closer for red items!

Threw my first sixaxis controller playing this game. Weird thing was it wasn't frustration over a mission. For the 100th time I held triangle to enter a taxi and Nico stole it instead. I'm just so sick of stuff like that happening I tossed my controller down and hit it right on the R2 button breaking loose the little plastic piece between the R1 and R2 button. Actually the controller still works, but it is the first time since buying the PS3 that I have tossed a controller. Congrats GTA IV.

Anyway. I'm working more on the dating and friendship stuff. Finally got my friendship with Dwayne high enough. I'm currently stuck on the first Jeremy mission, but I'm working on the assassinations until I feel like trying that one again.

Yeah, I complained about that in the other thread and was told to hold down the Y-button (AKA "triangle" on the PS3), and since then, I've noticed that literally half of the times that I'm trying to get in a cab as a fare, I end up jacking it instead - and yes, I'm holding the button, in fact, I'm still holding it as Niko's jacking the cab - what's worse, is that half those time, I happen to be in front of a cop and I end up with a star, while all I'm doing is trying to get to a mission I've already attempted numerous times.

I'm sorry, but this shit's just broken. I haven't been this frustrated with a game in a very long time.

That is so strange. I'm playing it on the 360 but i have never had that happen before. Are you approaching the cab from the front versus the back? Maybe it is triggering the jacking because you are closer to the drivers door? Did you whistle to pull the cab over first?

I have had that happen (on the 360), but I've tried to prevent it, by standing a little farther from the cab, and near the backdoor (drivers side or passenger side). I'm actually riding the cab now. Of course I jack it when we get back to the safehouse, because somehow I lost my cars in my parking space.
