Fatalities revealed

Here is some info that has been confirmed on the Midway forums.

1.) At least 20-22 characters in the game. Only the most 'iconic' names will be in the game. Kinda dissapointed with this personally because of the character count in the Capcom crossovers.
2.) DC Confirmed are Superman, Batman, and Flash.
3.) MK confirmed are Scorpion, Sub-Zero, and Sonya Blade.
4.) Flash will use Kabal's running spin move. Superman will have heat visions and short to medium range ice breath.
5.) Superman will be weakened via the story, and can be hurt.
6.) Both the MK and DC characters will think the other side is the one invading.
7.) Game will use the Unreal 3 engine, have a playable demo at E3, and be available for the PS3 and 360. Ed Boon has no problem with a Wii version if it can be done.

I have got to say this honestly sounds like one of the coolest fucking games ever...I can play as Batman, Subzero, Superman and Scorpion all in the same game!!?! SOLD.

I couldn't agree more! Batman VS Scorpion?!? Day One Purchase.

I'm not sold on the gameplay just yet but the concept art for the levels looks really nice so far. I want this to be good and I hope it is.

Wouldn't be surprised if someone made a mod allowing fatalities.

Fatalities are in the game.

But how violent are they gonna be? Will you be able to rip off robins head?

I hope we can beat him to death with a crowbar and/or force feed him rats.

Ed Boon: Yes we have. All of the MK characters and all of the DC villains will have fatalities. The DC heroes who don't kill that often will have brutalities that will function just like fatalities but don't actually kill the opponent.

I don't see why people refuse to believe that this game will be violent.

Thats a pretty cool take on Catwoman.

This game could have awful controls and I would still buy it day of release. I'm weak that way.

The concept art is really cool so far.

I haven't bought a game in over a year and I would buy this.

I wonder why they didn't go with the new Catwoman look from the comics.

It's still concept art so it may change.

That is the new/current look. Just more unzipped and purple instead of black.

I guess the unzipped and purple kind of through me off. Also the boots are different than i remember in the trades.



That is what i was thinking of. The boots in those issues also are shorter - more like Doc Martens or something.

I wasn't too excited when I first heard the announcement but after seeing the concept art, I'm interested. Hope the gameplay is as good as the art.
