Thanks, that's a good deal and I just went for it.

Amazon Warehouse has the LE Halo Reach 360 bundle for 359.99 (used/like new, but past reports are that these just have dinged boxes). That's only $40 off, but decent enough.

Went ahead and got Batman: AA for PS3 for $15. Thought about Glory of Heracles for $12 but passed.

Weak deal. Walmart will have several of those titles for $9.99 on BF.

not that I'm defending the deal, but Walmart on Black Friday is somewhere between the 5th & 6th level of hell.

He has no need. He buys every game the second it comes out and does not wait for a sale or a drought.

So the deal today is a bunch of limited edition video games. So the question is, is Alan Wake LE worth $30? I bought the regular edition at K Mart for $20 with one of the gaming coupons but I have until next week to return it if this is worth the extra $10.

Re: Amazon Video Game Deal Thread .

If you're into bonus material at all, it seems worth it but only if you can get a full refund at K-Mart, including any coupons you may have used.

If you do get the LE of AW, I would say stay away from all the bonus material (including the soundtrack) until you've experienced the game. There are just too many great moments you don't want ruined.

I didn't think K Mart refunded the gaming coupon? Do they treat it as cash?

I was referring to this quote. It sounded like you already knew the answer.

Ok, so how much is the actual difference, assuming the coupon is "lost" if you do a return?

Was it $20 AFTER coupon or $20 BEFORE coupon? How much was the coupon?

In answer to the previous question : upon return of a game to Kmart, the coupon is lost. You get no credit for it and you don't get your coupon back.

I had to bite on Alan Wake at that price, especially considering I almost bought the standard instead at Target during the 3 for 2 sale. Oh my backlog is going to hate me.

Yeah, but AW isn't a huge time commitment. You can beat the game in about 6 hours. It's divided into six episodes that can each be completed in a single sitting. You'll be able to knock out that game pretty quickly. I think the LE comes with a soundtrack. The game has some awesome music, but if it has songs instead of just instrumentals, I'd recommend playing the game through before playing the CD. The songs in the game should not be spoiled.

Sorry, it was $20 after the coupon. I don't really mind losing the coupon, I was just checking if it was worth an extra $10 for the LE content (more like $8 after they refund the tax :))

I bit on Arkham Asylum PS3 for $14.99. I beat the game on the PC before I bought my PS3, and I've been wanting to pick it up again when the price was right. If nothing else I can get the trophies and ready myself for Arkham City.
