Shaun White Snowboarding - $7.00
Left 4 Dead 2 - $39.99
Tales of Vesperia - $14.98

The Shaun White price is listed as $7.00, but when trying to check out the price jumps to $19.99. Am I doing something wrong?

This version is $7.00. It's sold by Target and shipping is $3.

Oh, those with a Discover card : There's a current promo -- buy $50 in Video Games (or select other departments) and get $10 off the order automatically as long as you pay with Discover. Can be used over and over again. I preordered MAG, FF XIII, Bioshock and placed another order all receiving $10 per order and got each one of those preorders for less than $45. It's a great way to lock in a great price on games you were going to buy anyway. Wish they had Crackdown 2 less than MSRP, but whatever.

Fine Print:
Spoiler:

Promotion Details

For a limited time, when you spend $50 or more on select items sold by Amazon.com in Apparel, Electronics, Software, Video Games, and Computers you will get $10 off when you pay with your Discover Card.

To receive the $10 promotional discount:

1. Browse for qualifying items. Qualifying items are select items sold by Amazon.com in Apparel, Electronics, Software, Video Games, and Computers displaying the offer message on their product information pages. Due to manufacturer restrictions, some products are not eligible.

2. Add qualifying items to your Shopping Cart until the total amount of qualifying items before taxes, gift-wrap, shipping, and other promotions totals $50 or more. The savings only apply to select products sold by Amazon.com in Apparel, Electronics, Software, Video Games, and Computers. Items from those different product categories may be combined to qualify.

3. Click the "Proceed to Checkout" button, the amount of the savings will be reflected on the final order checkout page.

4. Update the form of payment to your Discover Card. The discount will only be reflected if you use Discover Card as your form of payment.

Terms and Conditions:

1. The promotion is valid for a limited time only. Amazon reserves the right to cancel it at any time.

2. If you do not purchase the qualifying items added to your Shopping Cart when the promotion is in effect, the discount will not apply.

3. The promotion applies only to qualifying items displaying the offer message on their product information pages.

4. The promotion applies only to products sold by Amazon.com. It does not apply to the same products sold by other sellers. For example, if the promotion applies to cookware offered by Amazon.com, the same cookware offered by other sellers on the Amazon.com website (e.g. Macys, Target, etc.) do not qualify.

5. The promotion does not apply to orders placed with 1-Click.

6. All qualifying items must be purchased in one order and shipped to a single address.

7. If you return any of the promotion items, we will subtract the applicable portion of your discount from your return credit.

8. Shipping and handling charges apply to all products, including qualifying items.

9. This promotion may not be combined with other offers, including promotional certificates.

10. Does not apply to orders placed with 1-Click.

11. Offer good while supplies last.

12. Void where prohibited.

13. If you remove any of the qualifying items from your Shopping Cart or violate any of the Terms and Conditions, the promotion will be invalid, and the discount will not apply
.

Gee, I wonder if it applies to orders places with 1-Click

Do you know if it's $50 before any goldbox discounts or after goldbox discounts?

I have quite a few preorders that were above $50 before those discounts and I would happily switch my payments over to my discover card if that would work.

Ah, ok, thanks. Might jump on that even with the shipping. Had it in my hand at Target yesterday for $19.99. Christmas gift for my boy.

It works with current Gold Box discount (Hense MAG for $44). I don't know if it works with changing the payment of previously placed orders, but I suppose it couldn't hurt to try.

Sweet! I just 1-clicked 5 different orders. How long should I expect to see the discounts on my statement?

Thanks. Just changed payment on an order to test the waters. Sent an email, will see what happens. I still have a number of standing ECA + goldbox pre-orders (heavy rain, modnation, god of war, and MAG) so the extra $10 would get me down to $38 a piece.

Just got a tweet 50% off Batman: AA )360/PS3) or MGS4 starting at midnight (I'm assuming Pacific since it's not up yet)

Re: Amazon Video Game Deal Thread .

To follow up on the discover thing, despite my order not meeting the "requirements" (it did, $50 before discounts + discover card), they "made an exception" and applied the discount to my order. However they took the $10 off the item price. So I wrote them back asking if there was a way not to do it like that, seeing as how it might mess up the pre-order price guarantee.

But all in all, $10 saved!

Batman: Arkham Asylum is current lightning deal, and even at discounted price of $29.99, Discover Card likewise reduced selling price to $19.99. Great deal!

Any speculation on the upcoming lightning deals? I just don't know enough of the games available...

And bummed to miss Batman :(

I'd say the next one is Fallout 3 for $20 (matching either BB or Walmart).

I have purposely held off, waiting for a deal on the GOTY edition (with all the downloadable content included). But after reading about all the stuttering and freezes, maybe that isn't the smartest move. Have those issues been addressed by Bethesda?

Just cashed in on my Batman:AA for $30. I'm not a huge fan of button-mashing action games, but this is supposed to be fantastic, right? Plus, I love Batman (especially as handled by Dini in BTAS) :)

Based on your statements above, I guarantee that you will love this game.

And as mentioned above, it's not a button masher. The combat system is very deliberate...almost in a rhythm-game kind of way, and it's only a small part of the game anyway.

Haven't heard word of a full-on fix for the freezing yet, just a patch for the Canadian version's save issues.

Not sure about the 360 version, but the PS3 version will bog down sometimes. When it happens, if you restart the PS3 (resetting the cache), it clears right up.

It's amazing how forgiving I am of this games faults. It's an amazing and ambitious game, but it feels like nobody playtested it.

The Promotion Details state it doesn't work with 1-click orders. Try to cancel and re-order.
