I ordered one knowing full well they will cancel it, but why not give it a shot.

Same pricing error on Target's website as well:

And the description is for Playstation Move. Should be interesting to see what happens here.

Amazon's product description is for the PS3. If Target sends out Playstation Move controllers to people, it'll be fun to see Amazon handle it. Who knows, those of us who order might end up getting a gift card or something out of it.

checking out through amazon is cheaper for me than checking out through target, saves me about $5

Re: Amazon Video Game Deal Thread .

the email I got from target after the order says "Playstation 3 Move Advanced Shooter Grip (Playstation 3) Console. So what the hell did I order (not what I thought I ordered, but what they think I ordered), a console or the PS3 Move?

Like I said, this is going to be fun. At least ordering through Amazon means you deal with Amazon, not Target.

this was teased on Chicago's NBC news - never ran to the computer so quickly.

Wow. It was on the news? Amazon may be forced to do something other than a simple cancellation with all the attention it's getting. I wonder if they'll offer some kind of discount on one of the PS3s they have in stock.

Even if they wanted to honor it, they probably couldn't since the PS3 Phat has been out of production for some time.

I saw these two post on another website about this.

I'm sure that the person who posted that chat with the Amazon rep is being vilified throughout the various deals sites right now.

Strangely they just kicked up the preorder bonus on a game that gets released in two days. LittlBigPlanet 2 is getting a $20 promotional credit with pre-orders of the regular edition (not a gaming promotional credit, it's good for almost anything except MP3s and Kindle ebooks). The Collector's edition doesn't qualify and while I really wanted it, getting a toy sackboy and a set of bookends isn't worth the $40 total difference in price to me.

Re: Amazon Video Game Deal Thread .

I can't complain about that $20 promotion credit on LBP2, considering my total was $16.99 after applying gift certificates and credits form previous games.

These are the same folks who wouldn't honor their advertised misprice on the Lord of the Rings Trilogy on Black Friday, despite it showing as in stock and at that sale price on their website. Did anyone really think they'd get a long-discontinued PS3 model for that price?

Wicked. I just cancelled my existing preorder and re-ordered.

Why isn't release date delivery the default when I'm logged in using Prime, I wonder? It defaulted to 2-day.

Mass Effect 2 is also getting the $20 promotional offer if you pre-order before it comes out tomorrow.

I'm a little surprised all of these orders haven't been axed already. Still curious to see what happens.

Just ordered Mass Effect 2 and LBP2. Tough to pass up $20 credit.

Well played Amazon.

I'm sticking with my Limited Edition for LBP2.

I doubt anything happens with those PS3 orders from Target. They did nothing to keep their end of the bargain for the LOTR Trilogy so I doubt they do anything here.

Agreed... but you'd think they'd have canceled all of these by now. This is a big matzo ball just kinda hanging out there that you'd think they'd want resolved.

I've got to use up my KMart reward points from past purchases. I'll likely take advantage of the buy LBP2 get DS2 at 50% off and then get the $20 PSN card with DS2. May or may not keep DS2, but I know peeps that would want it.

Amazon's promos almost made me forget that I had Kmart points to burn. I'm still tempted by the LBP2 CE but the price difference with no promos just isn't worth it.

Maybe corporate took MLK Day off. I bet we'll start to see cancellation emails tomorrow, if not later today.

Later tonight it is! Got an email from target saying they can't offer me either the Move or the PS3 at that price. Oh well.
