There is so much good Wii stuff right now, it is ridiculous (in a good way).

I just got a $10 RZ cert for Best Buy so I think I'll go pick this up tonight.

I'm still spending all my time playing GTA IV, but this game looks like it will offer a nice break from that, plus it's one my fianceé will probably like.

Picked up Boom Blox. So far I went through all the tutorials and the first Point Blox level and it's a lot of fun. I'm not sure if it's worth $50, but for $40 I'm happy.

You definitely want to keep trying some of the puzzles to do better. Controls are very easy and intuitive. I'd say the pro reviews of this are pretty much on the money.

Well, the Nintendo channel has done it's job! I know must have Ninja Gaiden!! Downloaded the demo and it has me sold. Even with the good reviews it was hard to tell if the control scheme was something I would like.

I think if they resolve the storage issue (and Iwata eluded to that in a recent interview) they should really consider adding Wii demos. That would really help a lot of third party publishers get past the whole "only 1st party titles sell" stigma.

Looks like Circuit City has Wii bundles for email subscribers if you're looking to spend the cash. Don't know if this link will work but you can give it a shoot.

http://www.circuitcity.com/ccd/widgetContent.do?oid=179571&WT.mc_n=806883&WT.mc_t=U&cm_ven=EMAIL&cm_cat=EPSILON&cm_pla=EMA_20080508_INACTIVE->BODY&cm_ite=282562%20WE'VE%20GOT%20WIIS-INACTIVE&cm_keycode=806883

Wii console
extra wii remote
nunchuk
Mario Kart
Mario Galaxy

Total was 409.95 before tax. Shipping is free. My tax for MD is 24.60 for a grand total of 434.55

Thought I would post this since a few people are still trying to find this.

Games available for the bundle are Mario Kart, Mario Galaxy, Mario Party 8, Super Smash Bros Brawl, Wii Play & Tiger Woods 08.

I used to love the Harvest Moon games (specifically Harvest Moon 64 and Friends of Mineral Town,) but I haven't been able to get into any of the PS2 or GCN games. I'll probably rent the Wii version before buying, but it could be interesting to play with the new control scheme the Wii brings to the table.

Thanks for the information - it's new to me as well. Now, if we could only get Animal Crossing Wii soon...

The Harvest Moon titles are like the Pokemon titles, there are so many variations of the same game and the sequels are only subtly different than the previous versions, I'm hesistant to pick them up anymore. Boy version, girl version, special edition,... Hopefully this Wii version will be more definitive, and not have 2 versions like the Gamecube and DS versions.

I'm picking it up tomorrow. The demo on the Nintendo Channel sold me on it so that was one sale to come from that channel.

Like that it has word searches as well as crosswords.

Make that two. I wasn't planning on buying it, but I played the demo Wednesday, and bought the game today. Well done Nintendo.

Nintendo Channel looks pretty neat. I really like the DS demo feature. Also I opted in to the messages, just to see the cool blue light more often.

"2K Sports, the sports publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTWO), and Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc., today announced the next iteration of the wildly popular baseball franchise, MLB Power Pros 2008, scheduled to be available for Wii home video game system from Nintendo and PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system this July, as well as Nintendo DS later this fall. As the highest-rated and top-selling baseball title in Japan,"

"With over ten different exciting game modes including the traditional Practice, Exhibition, League and Home Run Challenge modes, MLB Power Pros 2008 will bring fans closer to the action than ever before. Gamers also get the opportunity to act as general manager and control the destiny of their own franchise in Season mode, or engage in entertaining role-playing story modes such as Success and MLB Life modes. As general manager, gamers can trade, sign free agents, coordinate practice schedules, purchase new equipment, call up and send down players from the Minor Leagues, along with other management options to bring in fans, win playoff games and eventually, earn the title of World Series champion.

In Success mode, fans can participate in a story-based career of rising players in the Double-A Minor League system trying to improve their baseball skills and make an impression on baseball scouts while also having to balance various situations in their personal lives. Through a variety of amusing training and game challenges, players who complete Success mode will also be able to take their created player files into MLB Life as well, or also play as either an existing Major League Baseball player in Dream Mode, or start as a rookie in Major League Career mode. As a new feature in MLB Power Pros 2008, MLB Life is another story-based mode that will allow fans the possibility to simulate the exciting life and experience of being a Major League Baseball player over the course of a 20-year career. While continuing to play in games through the regular baseball season, players will also participate in a number of realistic situations such as signing contracts, purchasing houses and cars, making charitable donations, building up relationships with friends and teammates, picking up hobbies and much more."

That's awesome news. Sounds like the Success Mode expanded significantly too.

Picked up Boom Blox and played some of the party mode last night with four of us. Damn fun game. I think it was a hit(pun intended). Can't wait to tackle single player. We only put in a couple hours, but I'd have to agree with the reviews, very fun, but probably not a $50 title. I definitely recommnend it but I'd say $30-$40 would have been perfect price range(I used gift cards). It's also a game everyone can pick up and enjoy...well, almost everyone. I don't see grandma breaking out her pitching arm.

The 'Jenga' mode(pulling blocks out of a tower) is definitely the hardest.

After seeing all the stellar sales numbers, the line ups for Wiis, the constant drought of Wiis for over 1.5 years now, and the total lack of original gaming on other platforms that amount to nothing more than prettier versions of mediocre games, I have to say that I've completely lost interest in gaming publications. For an industry that was founded upon fluff pieces, they have demonstrated

1. Their inability to demonstrate the ability to reasonably calculate the success or failure of certain products in the market

2. Their inability to judge a game on any merit other than stellar graphics and average (though sometimes mediocre as well) gameplay.

3. The inability to get it through their thick skulls that Nintendo has, and always will be, a success in every respect and the gaming public, now expanded beyond boundaries that didn't seem to exist anymore several years ago, has finally acknowledged it and embraced them.

I would like to say three cheers from Nintendo. I have loads of fun playing Wii Play and Rock Band (not a Nintendo product nor their progeny; merely a game that follows a similar philosophy changing how the game is played instead of slightly tweaking what it is that is being played) on a Saturday night, and I could really care less when the next mediocre game wrapped in shiny packaging that will quickly be forgotten arrives in stores.
