Re: Official Wii thread -Part IX
That looks awesome. But I've been wrong about these trailers before. :(

Re: Official Wii thread -Part IX
"Cutting edge graphics"
It will be interesting to see how they handle the 4-player online play. |
Re: Official Wii thread -Part IX
High Voltage is putting a ton of effort into games that will be lucky to sell 100K on the Wii.

Re: Official Wii thread -Part IX
I need some advice. My wii doesn't seem to output sound correctly anymore. Only the left channel seems to work. I've tried multiple cables and connections on my TV, but I think it's definitely an issue with the hardware. I have a Bestbuy warranty, but it occurred to me that if I use it, they'll just give me a new wii and I'll lose my DLC, which sucks. I know that technically Nintendo says "no" to the possibility of transferring DLC to new systems, but my machine's out of warranty, so I don't know what to do. Anyone have any tips on getting them to repair a system or, alternatively, allowing me to transfer my DLC to a replacement system I get from BB? I know that Nintendo has a history of great customer service, but I would like to know if there's a certain branch of their customer service I should call or something?
I've never had a problem with any gaming hardware before, so I'm a bit lost about what to do. Thanks in advance for any help! |

http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/sys...ound.jsp#other Nintendo will move any DLC that is possible to move. They cant move Miis you create, Address books, Friend Codes a few other non essentials. Even its out of warranty Nintendo should be able to move any DLC you have to the repaired machine or to a new machine if its not repairable. |

Umm, an episodic Monkey Island series on WiiWare? Here's my money, I'm sold. http://www.telltalegames.com/monkeyisland

Re: Official Wii thread -Part IX
Nintendo should be able to. If its out of warranty they may charge you something, but at least you will have your DLC back.
http://consumerist.com/5049205/ Call and see what happens. They may not charge you anything. |

Really wasn't happy with the Wiiware version of Strongbad. Voices sounded like the were compressed very heavily and it was very glitchy. I'm happy about this, but I will probably grab it on the PC.
And it looks to be cheaper on PC especially if you pre-order. 35 vs 5x1000 points. |

Yeah I was happy with everything overall, even though this year definitely feels light for AAA 1st party titles.

Re: Official Wii thread -Part IX
I posted this in the E3 thread but seems a better fit here:
http://videogamesrepublic.com/wp-con...blackwii-2.jpg Black Nintendo Wii, Red DSi coming this summer Nintendo will be releasing a black Wii console along with a red flavored DSi in Japan this summer. When the Wii was announced in 2006 gamers were treated to the glorious site of the console in colours to make Joseph get a refund on his technicolor coat. But since then we’ve only had the pale white version to play with, until now. There will also be a black Wii Remote and Nunchuk for Japanse console owners to get to grips with. The Wii package will cost ¥25,000 when it arrives over there on August 1st. |
Re: Official Wii thread -Part IX
I like the black but I have long since skinned mine.

Is Boom Blox 2 worth it if you pretty much just play solo?

Weird, can't you just re-download all your stuff you already bought?
