Hey, I never claimed to be a British citizen, though my mother was born there.

Samba De Amigo was one of my favorites. It'll be interesting to see how it translates to the Wii. This would have been a good title to hold off until the more accurate Remotes came out.

Doubtful. It's a first party game, so it shouldn't be hard to find at all.

Missed this post during the day, but I saw this in the afternoon: http://kotaku.com/5041529/sam--max-s...ii-in-november

Let the joy be unconfined -- Sam & Max: Season One will be (probably) heading to the Wii on November 4th.

The tried & trusted investigative journalism technique of 'lets look on the GameStop website and see when they will start selling it' (Woodward & Bernstein used the same method to crack the Watergate scandal wide open) points to a November 3rd release, meaning that the game should appear in people's actual hands the following day.

The game sees our detective heroes (one an anthropomorphic dog, the other a.. thing that looks a bit like a rabbit, only wrong) investigating a mysterious cult.

Cool. Never played S&M (wow those are unfortunate initials) but loved the Sierra & Lucasarts adventure games of yore. I'm looking forward to it.

I have a Wii Fit question. I just got it, and during the balance games the board seems to be backward. Like on the tightrope. When the character is falling left, I have to lean in the same direction to get him straight. It should be the opposite. Do I have something set up wrong, or is that how it's supposed to be?

Do you have the balance board facing the right way? The power button should be facing towards you, NOT the TV.

Hey I'm kinda new to this Wii scarcity thing. Is there any place that you can pay up front for a Wii + WiiFit and just have it sent when it comes in stock?

I'm glad you asked!

http://www.nintendowiifanboy.com/200...e-gets-priced/

The WiiSpeak microphone add-on should add a fresh dimension to the Animal Crossing: City Folk experience, and having awkward conversations with fellow internet people about fruit prices won't even be that expensive. Nintendo reps have informed a GameStop manager's conference in Las Vegas that the City Folk and WiiSpeak bundle would retail at $69.99 (the equivalent of 423 apples, five Porcelettas, and a Red Snapper at today's dollar-to-Bells rate) when the game releases in November.

That's a tenner less expensive than purchasing the game and peripheral separately, and obviously you'll be able to use WiiSpeak in other titles. Sound fair to you?
I figure it will release before 'Black Friday'.

I wonder if the family-friendliness of the Wii will filter out all the bad language that comes through the WiiSpeak?

A few ideas to refresh the Wii. Dont know why Nintendo isnt doing something about these. Perhaps once the storage issue is fixed we will see more of the following:

Making the Wii Menu customizable. Being able to choose your own color, style, background images etc. Tie it in with the Photo Channel.

Adding more function to Wiimail. More robust Wiifriend features, scheduling or appointments in calendar, ability to add birthdays, anniversaries, special reminders etc.

Updating the Mii channel with more options for Miis and greater detail. Get people to use the Check Mii out Channel more by offering Mii-points when you participate or vote so you can trade points earned for more styles, clothes, accessories etc. to outfit your Mii.

Anyone else have ideas?

The problem is Nintendo. All they want to do is make money and really don't care about adding features anyone would want.

This console had amazing potential, but it is easily the most disappointed I have been in a console and I owned a 3DO. They have had so much success without doing much that core gamers would want there is no way we get them to bother with us now. I'll just have to enjoy my occasional VC title and maybe the once every 2 year must have game. To me it is just a redesigned GameCube as that is about all I play on it. The VC is starting to build a halfway decent library and that at least makes it worth owning. Maybe in year 5 they will get around to a storage solution, but I'm not getting my hopes up.
