I downloaded 'Art Style: Orbient' WiiWare last night. This is a remake of the Japan only 'bit Generations: Orbital' GBA game released in 2006.
Wow, this game is so addictive! The concept, gameplay, graphics and music are all so perfect. I highly recommend Orbient to everyone!

BTW, I'm also loving the Strong Bad games. I have played through the first two episodes twice and really can't recommend them enough. I know it is a bit tough to get into if you aren't familiar with the characters, but I think they do a pretty good job of teaching you the Homestar Runner universe so you get the jokes.
I will say this. If you have a decent PC it is a better experience on the computer. I played episode one on PC and then bought it and played it on Wii and I won't buy another episode on Wii. The compression they have done to get this to fit on Wii is just too much. The colors are dull and the voices and sounds are very compressed. Everything has a horrible tinny and crackly quality to it that you don't get on the PC version. Not to mention the Wii version has load times the PC version doesn't have. The Wii version is decent enough if it is your best option, but I did want to point out it is slightly inferior and more expensive than the PC version (if you pay full price for points).

The long-awaited World of Goo is out today along with another Art Style game called Cubello.

And if you hadn't heard, you can get the 2000 Wii point cards at Toys R Us for $12 instead of $20 today only. It's online as well. The cards are in stock right now (http://www.toysrus.com/product/index...ductId=2557629) and you can get up to 3 of them. You'll have to pay shipping, so it's a better deal in-store, but even with tax and shipping, I'm getting $60 worth of points for just under $44.

At least locally the TRU stores were stocking very few cards. I was able to get 5 between 2 stores and I was the first person to hit both according to the employees. Looks like they are sold out online as well.
I did manage to grab 14000 points recently between the TRU sale and an Amazon coupon for around $80 so I'm feeling pretty good about upcoming purchases. 40% off the price makes the games pretty enticing.
World of Goo got a great review from IGN and the previous Art Style game was fantastic so I'm definitely interested in Cubello.

How many blocks does World of Goo take up? And why the fuck don't reviews give this sort of information? Aren't these the kinds of things reviews should be covering; objective facts, over subjective opinion?

One of the reviewers usually mentions blocks. It might be GoNintendo. I need to look.
I love that I'm at the point that I can't buy a new WiiWare game without beating the previous one since I have to delete it before I can buy another one. I'm not even sure next Springs storage update fixes this since it still doesn't sound like games can run from the SD card.
World of Goo is 321 blocks so it is out for me till I beat some other games.

Re: Official WiiWare Thread
I posted this in the main threda but I'll bring this one up too since Wii Ware is hot stuff.
It looks like a new company is going to take Nintendo's mantle on the amazing Bit Generations and Art Style series with the Bit.Trip series. The first game is called Bit.Trip Beat, there's a small preview video on their website:

Bit. Trip Beat looks to be a seizure just waiting to happen.

Don't ask me why, but I blind bought Bonsai Barber...and I love it! It's a very fun game to play for a few minutes a day. I don't regret this purchase at all.

I'm apparently not alone in loving this little goofy game. Here is two 8/10 reviews:
http://wiiware.nintendolife.com/revi.../bonsai_barber
http://wii.ign.com/articles/968/968200p1.html
It has 82/100 on MetaCritic:
http://www.metacritic.com/games/plat...arber?q=barber
And it has 82.50% on GameRankings:
http://www.gamerankings.com/wii/9590...ber/index.html
If you've got a few extra points, or don't mind spending $10 on something like this, do it, it's great fun.

I love the super retro presentation with the old school graphics and sounds. Plus the gameplay, while very hard, is extremely addicting. I can't stop playing!
I'm eagerly awaiting Bit.Trip Core!

Maybe if it's cheap.
