If you're the kind of person (like me, unfortunately) who has more than 100 hours into Pokemon Diamond/Pearl, it's worth it. If not, you're likely not going to get anything out of the title.

Really it is a $10 version of Pokemon Box on GameCube and actually much better than that title since it is a bit more interactive and you can get Pokemon by storing them there and it gives you help finishing your Pokedex.
But yeah, if you aren't really into the game for major hours and into finishing your Pokedex it is not for you.

Good to hear that Pokemon Ranch is worth the points for fans of the franchise. To an outside observer, it seems like there's not much there, but from what you guys are saying, there's enough in it to warrant a purchase if you're really into Pokemon.
I know this is technically the WiiWare thread, but since it was discussed earlier, Bio Miracle is pretty fun. I like that we're getting a decent number of import titles on Virtual Console.

What an odd decision to localize Dig Dug and then charge more for it for localization costs. Who's going to buy it?

Today's releases:
Block Breaker Deluxe (800 points) - Breakout clone, ported from a cell phone game.
Cocoto Fishing Master (700 points) - Um...it's a fishing game.
Seems like another dull week in Wii Ware land to me.

This week we're getting Gyrostarr, which I know some of you were looking forward to:

Nintendo adds new and classic games to the Wii Shop Channel at 9 a.m. Pacific time every Monday. This weeks new games are:
Gyrostarr (High Voltage Software, 1-4 players, Rated E for Everyone-Mild Fantasy Violence, 700 Wii Points): Gyrostarr challenges you and up to three additional players to pilot your ships through a series of twisting, turning technoplasma tracks while battling a variety of deadly alien foes at ever-increasing speeds. While fighting and maneuvering, you must collect enough energy to activate the ancient warpgate at the end of each track. Succeed, and you can journey to the next, even deadlier track. Fail, and the gate will slam shut, destroying your ship. Enhance your ship with weapon pickups, coordinate attacks with your friends to fire powerful combined blasts and use your grapple to snag energy and pickups in the midst of combat. Control your ship with the Wii Remote controller, Nunchuk controller or Classic Controller, or use the "paired" control system that allows two players to use a connected Wii Remote and Nunchuk or Classic Controller at the same time. Offering 50 levels of intense action, powerful pickups, high-speed bonus levels and mayhem for up to four players, Gyrostarr is a killer arcade challenge.

Gyrostarr looks fun, but the timing is bad since Ticket to Ride is supposed to drop on XBLA this week. But if word of mouth is good, I'll likely pick it up in the future. I like the price point too!

Gradius Rebirth is coming soon to WiiWare. It looks to be another retro game ala Megaman 9!

Well, you really only have three pages of channels, and I there's enough room to fill all those up. WiiWare games take up a lot more space than your typical VC game - so while you may fit about 30 VC games, there's only room for a handful of WiiWare games. And once you're out of space, you'll have to make room by transferring the games to an SD card, and deleting their channel to clear up space on the Wii. Or you can just download them again (to the same Wii) later.

Downloaded the Strong Bad game and Wild West Guns this weekend.
Love what they have done so far with the SB franchise. If you are a fan get it. The game is just pure fun. If you are looking for mind boggling puzzles or RPG depth of play then this isnt it. Its silly simple family fun.
Wild West Guns is a great shooter. Love the style and the gameplay. Reminds me of alot of the arcade Cheyenne.

I downloaded 'Art Style: Orbient' WiiWare last night. This is a remake of the Japan only 'bit Generations: Orbital' GBA game released in 2006.
Wow, this game is so addictive! The concept, gameplay, graphics and music are all so perfect. I highly recommend Orbient to everyone!
