I went back and grabbed a bunch of achievements on Bioshock. I'm at 920/1100, and I'm playing it on hard now with the Vita-chambers turned off. This may be my first 100% achievement game ever!!! I think finding the flags on Assassin's Creed is next...that's about all I have left to do for 1000/1000 (I think).

I also played Halo 3 last night and surprising did very well.

This weekend had the usual suspects:

Halo 3
Guitar Hero II
Guitar Hero III
Rock Band

Damn these games with high replay value are killing my pile of shame.

Bioshock - At the last part but I'm going back to buy some more health upgrades and to try to get the 100 items invented achievement.

Guitar Hero 2
Rock Band
I'm finally getting the hang of medium on guitar, all I really need to work on is the fast picking.

You'll be doing that for a while. I had to go around to machines all the way back to the beginning just to invent shit only to leave it lying on the floor because I couldn't carry any of it. Good concept, poor execution.

Rainbow Six Vegas 2 - borrowed the 360 version from a friend, and played through the single player campaign.
FEAR (PC) - I bought the expansion packs, and decided to play through FEAR again first. I'm almost finished with Extraction Point. Probably start Perseus Mandate tonight.
Rock Band - downloaded the classic rock pack and played some guitar. Still waiting for my replacement drum pedal to arrive.

Tiger Woods 08 (PS3) - Good time killer but they really have a ton of room for improvement. Don't know how they could break controls that worked well all through the PS2 generation. I've adjusted and the 18 courses are a blast to play, but I can't recommend this one due to the early frustrations in the game as you adjust to everything they broke for the 08 version.

Luminous Arc (DS) - Surprisingly good. Got hammered by a few reviewers, but Marvelous did a solid job of taking what worked in games like FF Tactics Advance and mixing it with a quirky Japanese storyline about Witches, challenging God and so on. The smartest thing they did was make touch controls optional since the game works much better with the old fashioned buttons.

Hoshigami Remix (DS) - This Tactical RPG on the other hand is complete shit. There is just no excuse for its resurection since it does everything wrong in Tactical RPG design. This thing should have been left for dead on the PSone. You want to resurrect something try Shining Force on Saturn.

Burnout Paradise (360) - I wasted quite a few hours on this just finding the last few billboards, smashes and jumps, and then I finished some more road rules and events. This game is addicting, it's so easy to jump between each gameplay type as you drive around the city.

Conan (360) - I beat the game, it's like a poor man's God of War, it's still fun and overall I enjoyed the combat. Saving the trapped women around the world was pretty absurd. There were also some frustrating game design choices at the end with some of the jumping puzzles and the final boss.

Genji (ps2) - I played through the first few hours. I like the combat, it's generally pretty easy, and the Kumai attacks add a unique element.

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (Wii) - I really like the controls in this game, they add a lot to an already great formula of action mixed with exploration. I just beat the boss on Bryyo and moved on to Elysia.

Jewel Quest II (PC) - Beat the first one (completed all boards in story mode). This one has a few cool new features and seems to be a shit ton longer. Some odd music choices though.

WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2008 (PS3) - This was a throw in game with my PS3 that I got from Craigslist. I was going to sell it, but man if it hasn't sucked me in. The wrestling is fun, 24/7 is addicting as hell, and there are so many different match types it's crazy. Jeff Hardy is currently my created belt champion, World Heavyweight Champion, ECW World Champion, Intercontinental Champion, United States Champion, Cruiserweight Champion and one half of the Tag Team Champions .

Others Played:
MLB 08: The Show (PS3)
Portal (PS3)
Hot Shots Golf 2 (PSN)
Assorted PS3 Demos (SPFIIT, HSG: OoB)

Burnout: Paradise City.

I showed Call of Duty 4 to my Dad, who's a big war buff, and then told him we'd let him play an easier game, so I put on Burnout.

It was great to watch a 52-year old dude play a fast-paced game. He can't drive worth shit, but he was laughing his ass off the whole time.

Totally worth it.

I thought that only happened on the Wii?

I hate you! I loved this game until I got stuck on the 2nd Bonecrusher last year.

There was a pretty specific pattern I found to beat him, and it involved a lot of rolling out of the way just before he swung, but I can't remember now. It's one of the frustrating parts of the game design, the combat system relies heavily on combos and enforces this heavily for most of the game, but that battle turns into a hit an run.
