What sucks is the non-standard pricing for albums. Judas Priest is 9 tracks for $15. There's no way they could get away with close to $30 for an album like Mindcrime that has 17 tracks, or my second most wanted album, Tommy by the Who which has 24 tracks.

The $2 per song pricing is going to be a guideline, as it has been shown that people will pay that. As the number of songs per pack/album increase, there's probably a sliding scale to determine the discount. They probably have a cap as well, as I couldn't see many people spending $30 on a single pack.

I really don't think they can go higher than that, except maybe for a double album. Doolittle has 15 songs, but I can't imagine paying $30 for 14 songs which are two minutes long a piece. The whole album is only 38 minutes or so.

About two weeks ago i was driving with the ol' lady and the cars came on, so I was rocking the shit out of it and admitted to her it's one of my guilty pleasures and I'd kill to see it on rock band. Thankfully, I won't have to kill anyone now.

Hey Guitar Hero .. are you reading this? THIS is how a music-oriented game should be handled.

I expect that, but it's really sad when people start chiming in with "I've never heard of these bands." What?? I mean...what??? The truth is that if this had been an announcement for Nirvana or The Who or a free solid gold brick, the same bitching would be there on that forum.

I'm trying to decide whether I'll jump on the Judas Priest album or just a handful of songs.

The Cars...I need that now.

Well, a something good to know is the average age of a gamer over there. I'd be willing to bet that the average age on this particular forum is 10+ years higher than the average age over there. So it wouldn't be much of a surprise that people bitch about Judas Priest or The Cars - yet clamor over Nirvana because it was cooler older rock (much like the way I held tight to music my older brother listened to like Loverboy or Rap Traxx 2 )

I was amazed at the amount of bitching that went on over Still Alive. A free fucking song and people have the gall to complain. People suck.

ZIP IT HIPPIE!

Uh oh - time for a new thread.

Shagrath when you see this can you do a repeat of what we did last time? And maybe start the post with the press release about the albums to continue the discussion? Then PM me when it's up so I can lock this one.

I'll be getting the Judas Priest album, as I've been wondering if we would see them in this game, and it has 'You've Got Another Thing Comin', woohoo.

Also listened to the Cars album, and I'll get that too. Not sure about the Pixies.
