I decided I wanted to go back to hard drums and try to get a gold star or two.

I've now gotten 99% 4 times in a row missing exactly 1 note in each, I hate it! Heh.

Damn you double reds! Damn YOU!

This is actually a general problem for me with the entire game. I think too much

yay! Beat Foreplay/Longtime last night on hard drums. I could never make it more than roughly 15% in (seeing the blue string of doubles come was a treat usually) - and last night I was playing and somehow everything synced up. I literally sat back in my chair, mouth gaping in awe of my body as it easily worked through Foreplay. I then proceeded to get crushed by Next to You, but then I killed Flirting with Disaster and Tom Sawyer, only to get slammed by RTTH. But - I made it thought one I never thought I would, so that's a plus

I think the key was playing More than a Feeling right before and being in a haze because that song was so damn fun, when the chorus hit the first time, I cheered out loud.

I take it you never played "Portal?" The song is the highlight of that outstanding game. It's one big in-joke.

Go play Portal. It doesn't make it a good song, but it puts a smile on my face.

Yeah - even still, it's not that good of a song I've yet to play it yet, but I imagine I'll only crack it out once or twice at best.

I still haven't played Portal (haven't found a good price on Orange Box yet), and I've already played Still Alive a dozen times or so. We'll probably bust it out as a full band every week at our get-together as well, as most of us are pretty hardcore gamer nerds.

Actually, we've never done any of the Grateful dead stuff at our club meetings, and some songs are automatically vetoed (like Cherry Bomb and Brass in Pocket).

My wife says it's not the quality, but the size that matters.

No sir, seriously. I didn't play Avatar, it was my wife and she forgot to use her own gamertag!

Convenient ;-)

I never said my wife played those games. I'll fully admit to trudging through Fantastic Four, Open Season, and the like specifically for the achievements. If they put up the "Achievement Unlocked" sound as DLC for Rock Band, I'd be all over it!

It'd be great. One note/phrase FC for everyone.

Expert Guitar: 1 note
Expert Bass: 1 note
Expert Drums: 1 note (could finally get the 100% Expert Drums ach.)
Expert Vocals: 1 phrase (ba-dink!)

Sweet! As some of you know, I got my GF Rock Band PS2 a few weeks ago. Last night I lucked into a great PS3 deal on CL, so I went for it. I already have my PS2 version sold for $135 and buying a PS3 version for $120 locally again from CL. Can't wait to check out all of the DLC!

Just for the record, I would've paid up to triple the price to get "Still Alive".

I just called MS on your behalf and they agreed to refund the difference to you. If you log on, you should already see this reflected in your balance. Enjoy!

Has anyone sent back a guitar without the USB connector thing at the end. I seem to have "misplaced" one of mine.
