It appears that GameStop has a couple of Wii bundles available, shipping on November 17. I hope that this might be of some help for those still trying to get one. Anyone try to order on Amazon, and get lucky, today?

I managed to get a Wii a few weeks ago by going to Target right at 8 AM on a Friday morning.

I've been to Target several times for various reasons right when they open and I've seen Wiis at least 4 out of 5 times. This last time I finally had the money to do something about it.

Anyway, I'd recommend this route if you have one nearby or on the way to work or something.

Here are some pics from 'Link's Crossbow Training'. The game is looking really nice.

Thanks for posting those, CreatureX! Originally, I wasn't planning on picking up the Wii Zapper, however, they have added Link's Crossbow Training to it, and with the price being $19.99, it is a no-brainer!

I got Mario Strikers from Gamefly the other day. I really am not all that impressed. It mostly boils down to the power up shots by your main characters.

Not at all once you play some experienced characters. Try going online and see how you get whopped. It changes everytime for me

Is it just me or does Link's Crossbow look amazingly good?
Graphics wise?

I don't think it looks amazingly good, but it certainly looks nice.

Going to have to second this one. The super shots are rarely a deciding factor, and it is MUCH harder to knock those out against experienced players unless you have mastered your special moves.

Not talked about much, but we are getting an awesome strategy RPG next week.

Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn is hardly a standard Wii experience, but for an obvious GameCube game quickly moved over to the Wii it sounds great.

IGN gave it an 8.0

Quick question, is it really important to eject a game when the system is not in use? Ive been leaving my in there but since its vertical, maybe its critical to leave the system empty when not in use?

I don't believe it is important to eject it. I've had all of the games I own left in, at some point, when not in use, and have never had a problem.

I'm really looking forward to playing that. I've yet to play any of the Fire Emblem games, so I'm going to rent it first for that reason as well as the fact that I've never really played a strategy RPG, so I don't want to blind-buy one. I hope I end up liking it because it looks really good.

I played Manhunt 2 for about an hour and forty minutes last night and got to the third level. I'm really liking it thus far, although I'm stuck and a little pissed off at some of the glitches I've noticed. However, it's a lot of fun, even if it isn't perfect.

What do those of you who frequent this thread feel about Need for Speed: Pro-Street for Wii? I'm looking to pick up my first racing game for Wii, and I've been thinking about this game. The footage I've seen looks great, and I know that they have been working hard to implement a new engine for the Wii Remote. Are others here interested?

I've played the 360 demo and, even though I'm a Need For Speed fan, I don't really like it. It's really hard to play because of the viewing angles (I like to drive with the view from behind the car but when you go really fast, your car goes a few inches further away from the camera and it becomes very hard to see the track ahead of you.) That, coupled with the fact that there is now damage and you can total your car, makes it a pain in the ass to play. I was looking forward to playing one of the versions, but I don't know if I'll even bother renting it now.

Thanks for your input. I wonder how closely the XBOX 360 and Wii version will be, in relation to gameplay? I know that a video I recently watched for the Wii version, talked about a Casuals mode, and said that it was put in so that anyone, of any age, could pick it up, and really enjoy playing.

I would like to know what others think.

Also, is there a racing game out, already, that you would recommend for Wii?

I assume the Wii version's control would be decent. You could always pick up one of those steering wheel attachments.

A friend of mine bought Carbon for his Wii and he told me he really liked it. I liked the PS3 version when I beat it (so much so that I beat it in two nights,) so I'd recommend picking up a cheap copy of that. Also, Excite Truck is quite a bit of fun.

Thanks. I've always wanted to pick up Excite Truck. I really liked it when I played the demo. It was the first game I actually played on Wii, when they got the Wii demo units in at GameStop, a couple of weeks before the launch.

I may have to rent Carbon, to see how I like it. I appreciate the suggestions!

Sorry, don't really feel like fishing through the whole GH3 thread, but any idea when we could expect a stand alone guitar to buy?

BBV said they would be selling some up here in Canada.

I couldn't wait though, so I bought 2 sets and sold the game alone sealed for $50 on Amazon.
