Interesting feature, but they should have the default be set to either No one or Friends only. The current setting, if you don't change it, is everyone.

Meh - with facebook you can see who the friend is because it uses real names I really won't know who the hell Xx_assface_xX1189 is - so even if it was a friend from high school who I wanted to get in touch with, I'd have no clue.

I know it isn't the most popular of choices out there, but I just figured I'd throw in my two cents on Scene It? Lights, Camera, Action.
Paid $60 for it on Thanksgiving to keep the family entertained just in case Rock Band didn't go over too swiftly. Was hesitant at first, but when you get right down to it -- the standalone version of Scene It costs nearly $40 as is, so an extra $20 for 1800 "tracked" questions and 4 remotes didn't seem like a horrible deal.
Well, during our Rock Band breaks (it went over really, really well) we wound up busting out Scene It for a few rounds. The game is an absolute blast. The movie clips, questions, and overall setup of the game is great. I had a grin on my face when they had the "Child's Play" pic of Pan's Labyrinth as it was nice seeing that movie thrown into the mix and was surprised at just how current the question set was (there are questions concerning Meet the Robinsons and Fred Claus -- though title only for Fred). It's one of those games that seems short but does eat up a good chunk of time, and we wound up playing repeated rounds, the game has a nice competitive streak to it, especially with the borderline idiotic final questions (w/ multipliers). There is a great deal of variety to both the movies and questions/question types and all are generally a good deal of fun.
The clips introduced me to a few movies I haven't seen and some I haven't seen in a long time, and are not relegated to family friendly clips. (And made me really want to watch Trading Places and Bourne Supremacy again.)
If there's a downside, the announcer is kind of annoying but only has a few lines to say per game. The other complaint being the controllers use their own USB adapater and as such are IR-based, meaning you have to be pointing at it, but it's a mild complaint and once everyone knows where to aim it isn't an issue.
I hope they release question packs for this in the future as DLC as I don't see them taking up too much space (unless they add new movie clips). And I hope it does well enough to get a few more trivia games out there, I'm still crossing my fingers for a You Don't Know Jack revival.
Oh and the question tracker works fairly well, I've had a handful of repeats (maybe 10) in the course of 12 games.

Those are similar to my thoughts on Scene It.
I really enjoyed the game and hope that they do come out with DLC in the future to extend the life of the game. It is a great party game that will get gamers and non-gamers alike into it and have fun.

I would love that coming to the 360 either as a full title or XBLA version.
I loved all of the Jack games and even had a blast with the online one. Sadly the servers are not up any more and some of the games won't run on XP. They released a 6th game and updated a couple of others to run on xp. Sadly, you have to buy them all again.
The humor and questions were really top notch in the the YDKJ series.

Agreed. Screwing your neighbor never felt so good.
Actually, I take that back.

How funny is it that all of a sudden Microsoft's backwards compatibility and occasional updates is more appealing then having to worry about a Playstation 3 model that has it in either hardware, software, or not at all

With the download service around the bend, it's beneficial to them that they keep these updates coming so that they can be offered through the new service.

Rich, thanks for the thoughts on Scene It. I was going to start a thread on it the other day. I've been close to getting it for my gf and I (she's a Luminees player but not much else), but was worried all of the questions would be too mainstream/contemporary. This based on the back cover, which features Night at the Museum and some animated films. Are there many questions on film history, or anything more nerdy along those lines?
