I know it's old, but I just dl'ed the demo for Metal Slug. Never has a game made me feel so inept. The animations are badassed though.
I fucking hate crabs now. |
Mr. Driller spotted on Xbox Live Arcade.
I will fucking put money down on me keeping the #1 spot on the DVDTalk leader board for this game. I'm talking about cash. |
Well, it's been announced. The free game will be .... Undertow. Yes, the last game I purchased. I'm really hating Live right about now. For everyone else, it's a good game.

If you have already purchased the game, you can contact support and they will take care of you. |

I haven't seen this posted here and I don't even see anything on it at xbox.com (unless I am overlooking it there and here) but I decided to play a little pinball after not having played it in awhile and I decided to just double check the DLC option.
Extreme Pinball has a new table called Nightmare Mansion and it is a meager 200 points. I played with it a couple of games and it is a good little table. The theme is kinda old school horror and it has a small (but dull) mini-pnball game in the middle of the table. The table is fast and the ramps are not crazy hard to shoot on. The music is very Danny Elfman-like (not a fan but they did pretty good with the music). I definitely recommend it. Anyone know when this was added? Edited to add that it did add in a 20 point (and extremely easy) achievement for this table for those who are interested. |

I will probably be picking this up since I really enjoy this game and the more tables the better. It would be nice if they could get some licenses for some old tables. |
I bought the new table last night and I guess for only 200 points, it's not bad. I only played one or two games though.
It did remind me that I had downloded the previous release, the free 'Buccaneers' table. I'm not sure if I ever played that one when it first came out. On Christmas Eve I broke my record on the 'Agents' table, but I never got credit for it. My stats show my previous high score. :( |

Here's some footage of Goldeneye running on the 360.
It had potential - too bad it was killed by red tape and greed... |

What I don't understand about Goldeneye is why on earth would MS/Rare waste money and time getting the game up and running before hammering out a deal?
It would have definitely been the best selling game on the arcade to date. |

I never had an N64 so I never got to see what the big deal was but Goldeneye is a game still mentioned all the time. Wonder if it is dead completely or just on life support? It looks like it would have been fun to play. |

I hate to poop on the party, but that video is either just an N64 emulator with a texture/model pack or one of the zillion attempts at recreating Goldeneye on modern FPS engines. If it was actually running on Xbox Live in any form, people with access to PartnerNet would have made mention of it.

I'm sort of getting back into my 360 due to a friend in Mexico City getting one. He only has DSL, but our connection is great for chatting and playing Call of Duty 4.
In looking at my XBLA titles, I see that I've bought four, and all are multiplayer co-op. So if anyone wants to play Scramble, Gauntlet, Time Pilot, or Contra, let me know. |

You can't, because it doesn't exist. I've played Goldeneye on emulators and on Source. This isn't an emulator, it's not a hi-res texture pack, it's Goldeneye running on the 360. The geometry's even different - it's not possible to change world geometry with an emulator (further, look at the menu screen at the start and end of the clip - you will see a red "B" button and a white/gray "start" button symbol on the right). You know the game exists after the recent news reports, so why would anyone be so adamant that this video can't be real? It's probably a very early build still, but why work on it further when it got shit-canned? |
