Yeesh...

The added insult is that both Europe and Japan have gotten plenty of good/great VC and WiiWare titles that are still MIA in North America.

Ufouria and Mr. Gimmick are in the pipes, both are EXTREMELY amazing unreleased (to the US) NES games.

Sunsoft/Gaijin has a few other things planned too.. the Genesis/TG16 Telenet library, for one.

Slowed? Yes. Dead? Well, the internet only views things in extremes so I can't really convince anyone otherwise.

Ok, but for the mainstream plebeians like myself that merely want titles I enjoyed in my youth, is there anything still coming? Does Nintendo have any relationship with and 3rd party company that isn't Sunsoft?

I mean, Game Room isn't dead either if you like the bottom-of-the-barrel A2600 and INTV games.

I don't really care that much about VC - I enjoy WiiWare and DSiWare much more - but it's been shitsville all around for the last two weeks.

Once again, nothing this week on the VC front. I have 700 points sitting in my account right now waiting to be used.

Re: The One and Only Virtual Console Thread (Wii)

So, yeah, Ufouria came out on Virtual Console on Monday.

http://vc.nintendolife.com/games/nes/ufouria_the_saga

I played a bit of it last night. Pretty cool. In my opinion, it's worth $6 for the ability to play a good NES game that never came out in the U.S.

Re: The One and Only Virtual Console Thread (Wii)

I remember that being a game I was looking forward to back in the day when I still subscribed to Nintendo Power. I had forgotten that it never released here. I would buy it but I know that it would be a wasted purchase because I wouldn't play it.

"And Yet It Moves" came out on Wii-Ware finally, and it's pretty fun. Depending on how long it is, well worth the $10.

Re: The One and Only Virtual Console Thread (Wii)

Vic Ireland over at Sunsoft/Gaijin Games has stated that is Ufouria sells well enough, he'll have more power with the brass to get more "left of center" games released on Virtual Console (and with the Telenet catalog under their umbrella, that's a lot of stuff).

He's trying right now to get the Japanese version of Gimmick released in English on Virtual Console so that it'll have the EXCELLENT expanded sound chips the Famicom version had.

Re: The One and Only Virtual Console Thread (Wii)

Haven't bought anything off the Wii in awhile, but bought And Yet it Moves and Ufouria today. Try to help the VC out if I can. BTW, love the name Gaijin Games. Is Gaijin used so much now that it is no longer an insult?

Re: The One and Only Virtual Console Thread (Wii)

Hey guys. I haven't had a chance to scan this full thread but wanted to check in to see if any of you had any multi-player wii vc game recommendations?

I'm not concerned of the platform or type, just any recommendations for possible fun party or sport games is appreciated.

I have pub darts and the bags game and both get a lot of play. Similar are appreciated. Thanks

Mario Party 2 is now on the VC/Wii for Christmas Eve. Only 1000 points.

Unless you're like me and still have the N64 cart.

Does anyone know if after beating SMB if you can reset it to the original game and not the harder version?

Shouldn't you be able to "reset" the virtual (NES) system so that it clears out your save state? If not, you can manually delete the save state from the memory interface.
