I picked up the Orange Box tonight. So far, I checked out Portal, which is awesome, and Team Fortress, which I couldn't tell you about, as my XBox decided to disconnect from Live right as the game was starting (sorry, ChainsawPup!)

I'm holding off on playing any of the Half Life games until I finish the original (right now I'm in
Spoiler:
the factory on the alien world

so I think I'm pretty close to the end).

Don't be too upset, you only missed the most intense game I've played so far... I think we were on Well, and our team was pushed back to the last control point and we kept playing Hot Potatoes with the points, back and forth, and we eventually pushed back and rushed their points and won. That took like 20 minutes.

I grabbed HL1 Anthology and Box a l'Orange last night, $50.85 total for 11 games.

My Steam ID is PixyJunket.

TF2 runs smooth as ice in 1600x1200 for me, no 640p or 720p for me!

I'm kinda torn on the box art. I hate the front cover, but I sort of love the "WOH LOOK AT ME" Orange color.

I think the orange colored box for the PC release is the ugliest thing ever.

The 360 version should've had an orange case vs. the green case.

Did you have a GameCube and/or controllers in the "Spice" color? To me, those bright colors just look tacky.

I assuming it's a fan-made cover.

The spice color was my favorite color ever for the controllers. I wish i could get a sweet DS in that color.

Yeah, the xbox cover, at least, looks terrible... if I didn't know what it was, I wouldn't take a second look at it.

As for Bioshock, everyone keeps talking about the freedom and what not, but I just don't see it. Yes, the game had great art design and atmosphere, but the gameplay itself seems run of the mill, at least in my opinion.
Would you kindly stop hating on Bioshock?

I beat it. Great game. Best. Song. EVER! My wife looked at me like I was crazy when I played it for her. I was cracking up and she was just mildly amused and confused. That was a fun conversation.

Zero Punctuation has reviewed Orange Box in their own way - it's not one of his funniest reviews (like Halo3 was), just because there's not much to criticize...

I love Jonathan Coulton's music and just discovered the final song was written by him.

Haha.
I love those reviews. The one for Halo 3 is perfect.
