I get back from Vacation on Monday, Madden in hand

I won't even have a chance to play until tomorrow but then I should be on in the evenings.

Sorry if this was answered already. I just picked this up and tried a quick game. What happened to the presentation? Did they drop Madden from Madden 08 (save the Ask Madden stuff)? I only had the stadium announcer. Do they have an option for a studio play-by-play this year?

Has anyone checked out the sports update? It's pretty cool to have live sports ticker, but the radio update from ESPN is an extra sweet bonus.

Hearing ESPN Radio was pretty sweet. I only spent a minute with it...is it a continuous feed, or just an update with the day's news?

Wow. He & Al are on last year's PSP version, so this is a surprise for me.

I think the sports updates are the same ones as on ESPN radio and Podcenter; not a continuous feed, but rather updated every 20 minutes

Man, it's unfortunate that the league system isn't like 2K's was. That was fantastic with trades, schedule, etc all being managed for you. You even had your own team web page for crying out loud.

How do we schedule games (times, etc.)?

I have absolutely no clue how this is typically done...there's no way to do it within the game, huh? A spreadsheet would seem to be the easiest solution, in my completely uneducated opinion. Or maybe there are fan sites that allow you to setup a league and track things on it?

Ok so we have 20 teams.
Let's say 2 conferences of 10. Play every team in your conference + 3 other games for a total of 12 games?

Settings would be the standard setting for ranked games. 5 mins, All-Pro. We won't keep track of stats, just scores.

Please post what times you are available to play so I can set up the conferences.


I'm M-Thursday from 7 pm to 10 pm Pacific and Saturday and Sunday from 7 am to 10 am Pacific.

I'm generally available M-Th 8-10 central, Su 6-9, and F/Sa "by appointment," if you will.

I think a SEPARATE LEAGUE thread should be created, not to clutter this one up....just my 2 cents.

I'm still waiting to start my franchise, hopefully we get even BETTER rosters soon, although the last update was decent. Apparently the IR bug is still there...if you place a player on IR, you cannot add a new player until someone is released.
