Cool. I can take the PS2 version off my "to buy" list.

Overall though it is a lot of fun to play as a family game and I like all the unlockable junk. We also compete pretty hard for the high scores on the super games.
I also picked up RE4 for the Wii, but don't know when I will be up for replaying RE4. Feels good to actually buy a comple of Wii games after all these months. Can't wait for Guitar Hero III.
I nearly bought Power Pros, but MLB07 for PS3 was the same price and it won out.

Great news on Okami, I kept meaning to pick it up for the PS2, but was waiting for a price drop. Then it started to become harder to find and the Wii rumors started. Glad I waited, I've been wanting to play this.

Got my Wii last night!! Its set up and I have our Miis made.
Now I have to get it online and make friends who own one. I only know 2 chicks (in real life) who also own a wii... no one else!
Anyone know how long the Toys r us thing lasts? I want to get that Wii play or whatever cause i need another controller and I want Battalion wars 2! Any suggestions on the free game? I want something 2 player or co op.

Definitely plan on picking that up. Budget title price would be great.

Can't wait to play Okami! Love that RE4 came out on the Wii but didn't pick it up because I already have the GC version. Will definately pick up okami esp if it is budget priced. That is the way to do it. If you are going to release a 2 year old game then pick the right ones and budget price them.

I was finally able to rent a copy of Carnival Games. I was thinking the football toss would be horrible but it was actually pretty easy. The one event that I can't stand is the one where you need to shoot the star and get 100%.... I can't get pass 93%!

As revealed yesterday, Capcom officially announced a port of Okami for the Wii at its Gamers Day event in London this week. However, what didn't leak ahead of the embargo is that Ready at Dawn, developer of Daxter and the forthcoming God of War: Chains of Olympus for PSP, is behind the Wii port. No footage of the Wii version was shown at the event, nor did Capcom discuss hard details on how the game will utilize the Wii Remote (aside from "physical movements" for attacks and using the pointer for the Celestial Brush).
Following the announcement, Christian Svensson, senior director of research and strategic planning at Capcom, related to us the story of how the noted American developer landed the gig of bringing last year's strikingly beautiful PlayStation 2 action RPG to the Wii. Earlier this year, Capcom had been seeking a developer to bring Okami to the Wii to reach a wider audience, as the PS2 release suffered from shipping amidst the flurry of next-generation consoles. During a chance encounter at the Game Developers Conference in March, the higher-ups at Ready at Dawn expressed their admiration of the title to Svensson, prompting an offer from Capcom within a week.
Whether Okami for Wii will feature additional or expanded content is undecided at this point. Svensson says that Ready at Dawn has been working on the port with little assistance from the original development team, and as such, transferring the original content within a reasonable timeframe takes precedence. However, should Ready at Dawn complete its primary work ahead of the game's expected release in the first half of 2008, it's entirely possible that we'll see a more robust version of Amaterasu's adventure on the Wii.

Agreed about the pricing scheme for last gen games. $30 seems like a pretty good spot to me...hopefully Okami will follow suit along with Rygar, which I never played on PS2.

Need a little help
I just got my wii hooked up on line and tried to install the update and its going VERY slow. So I left it, when I came bacl it was 20% done than I checked later and hadnt moved! So I re did it and left it, when I came back there was an error and to try again later! Any ideas on how to change the speed or what the problem is?
