Ya know. I don't even know. Theoretically yes, you should have more time from not dying(assuming you stayed on the pellet path not wasting time elsewhere avoiding ghosts). You should hit the keys with about 2-2.5 minutes left.

I had a nearly perfect run last night and another this morning and only cracked 335k. I can't even fathom what I did to get 379k. I know the second set of keys play a big role, which I didn't get to in either game. Even at that, I'm still 40,000 away, there's no way those 6 power pellets would boost me that high.

Also the second set of keys is about 6-8 fruits from the first set.

I'll get there again though. :)

Damn.. when I'm done with Enchanted Arms I'm setting an hour aside for each Pac-Man and Geometry Wars. Up until now I've been playing one or two games at a time and then switching. It's time to bring my "A Game" at this point.

I know from personal experience that a million different things can happen that will differentiate between 280k and 400k. I personally stick to a pattern... but how the ghosts react and come out of their "box" totally affects my pattern (thus causing me to reset my game at least a dozen times before I pull of a full 5 minute run).

I've seen at least a dozen iterations of them moving around, how many you chomp after a power pellet and if you don't make every turn on a dime, it throws things off.

I'd LOVE to see the video of the guy who got 600k... that's sick.

The 600k guy is from Japan. He admitted that it was a score from one of the other modes that somehow glitched and posted to Championship mode. He requested MS take it down but they havent yet.

It's also bogus. He's admitted that the game glitched and uploaded his score from one of the other modes to the Championship mode leaderboard.

considering your score really isn't that much higher than mine, I can't say I do this at all :/

I have no intention of spending 5 minutes to get another 260 or 280k -- which is the norm for me. I only want to top my current high -- if I feel I an't do that within the first minute or so, I start over.

i just go for consistency. I can always get over 260k now, so I just try to maintain while improving a little.

my fuck-ups usually come after the 3 minute mark in the first place

I restart a dozen times. Usually it is around power pellets 5 & 6. The ghost routes at that point are very random. I still haven't nailed down a perfect path at that point either because of it.

I try and have about 58k by the time I'm done with those two power pellets.

Exact same thing here. Im ready to abandon this game. I really don't think I'll get much more than I already have and there are some games Im going to start focusing on (NCAA 08 and Madden 08).

I used to restart over and over till I got the perfect start but I actually got my 300k+ score when I just said screw it and played every one through to completion. Maybe it helps to keep those later patterns in mind?

I think i'm going to have to try my DOA4 stick with this game. my 360 controller just stinks for this game(I push down it goes right, etc.) which makes me die every time I turn around.

I would love you hear of your experience with the DOA4 stick and this game! I am thinking of trying to find one if it really works well.
