TeamXbox Best of E3 Awards

Went over to XBL and saw the latest on their selections and most are not surprising and in fact expected.

Best Demo (non-playable) - Fallout

Best Audio - Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

Best Graphics - Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

Best XBLA Game - Switchball

Baet Multi-Player Game - The Orange Box: Half Life

Best Party game - Rock Band

Best Strategy - Halo Wars

Best Fighting Game - Virtua Fighter 5

Best Sports game - Madden 08

Best Racing Game - PGR 4

Best RPG - Mass Effect

Best Action/Adventure - Bioshock

Best Third Person Action - Mercenaries 2: World In Flames

Best First Person Shooter - Call of Duty 4: Modern warfare

Best of Show - Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

I checked IGN for their awards and their list doesn't come close except they agree on COD4 as Best 1st Person and Best graphics and Rock Band for Music game. Bioshock and Mass Effect came in second in their categories. They gave Assassin's Creed - Best Action and felt Fallout was a winner for Best of Show and Best RPG.

On G4 (Gamespot) List for Game of the Year were:
Halo 3, Rock band, Assassin's Creed, Mass Effect - Winner - COD 4

Fallout as Best of Show and Best RPG? I'm looing forward to it as much as anyone, but all we have at this point is a 2-minute teaser trailer that shows no actual gameplay footage. Might as well give Iron Man the award for best movie of Summer 2007.

Good to hear Call of Duty 4 is doing so well. I hope it's better than the last one.

I was honestly not anticipating CoD 4 at all until all this E3 hype about it started.

Still I think Mass Effect is #1 for me right now and Assassin's Creed is #2, mainly because of the concerns I've heard from numerous people about the demo being meh.

I'm surprised PGR4 won over Burnout Paradise, everything I have heard says PGR4 was meh, while Burnout was amazing. Maybe because Burnout was running on a PS3?

The 1UP guys have seen the first couple of hours of the game at least, where you start out inside the vault.

Same here, Mass Effect is #1 by far.

The problem I have with COD2/3 (and looks like 4 is the same way) is that I feel like the viewpoint is a camera floating above some guy's head. I don't get that with other FPS.
