I've come to like Giant Bombcast. It's enjoyable and makes me laugh. The drink thing is kinda lame, but one of the funniest episodes was when they had some DRANK, which apparently is the opposite of an energy drink.

I know I've said lots of nice things about Giant Bombcast in this thread, but they are really wearing thin for me. I just don't find them amusing enough to listen to them get off topic.

I downloaded A Life Well Wasted last night, but haven't listened yet. Saw the title was "gotta catch em all"...hope it's not really about pokemon and that it's just a play on words.

collecting video games & pinball machines

Sorry...it's all Pokemon talk actually. Although I do find the theme catchy, and can understand why it took a bit longer to get the episode out.

I can do the Bombcast every once in a while. Listening that way, it's fine, but I think it would get old if I listened every week.

Does anyone listen to Gametrailer's Invisible Walls? I watch the video show, and while the Grumpy guy comes off like an ass sometimes, I like it quite a bit. The game footage is nice to watch, but they have an audio version of the show as well.

I've watched about halfway so far and it's awesome to see everyone back in the swing of things. The opening credits are unbelievably awesome!

I loved the art style, but hated the new theme song. That needs a serious rewrite.

YES! For real. Right with you on that. I get that the song was suppossed to be sung bad on purpose, yes how very slacker, but really I think it was pretty bad.

I don't like the song either. I get that they are trying to make it sound kind of like the 1up song, but since they can't use that, they should come up with something completely different.

Jeff Green, Shawn Elliot, and Luke Smith have a new podcast. It's very, very rough sounding. They need some better equipment and editing.

Something about that mix of personalities has me curious if they'll gel or not. Still, good to see those guys getting their voices out there.

To be perfectly honest, I could give a shit. Less than 2 minutes in we start getting a Shawn Elliott story, so I'm in. :) These dudes all sitting around chatting will most likely end up being very entertaining for me.

Looking forward to giving this a listen tomorrow.

Great news thanks for the link.

Did anyone else listen to that trainwreck of a segment on the recent 1up talking about "why do you play games?". Methinks someone was over the legal limit.

Bonerz!

While completely ridiculous, I did get a laugh or two out of it because I thought the dude was joking at first, then he just keeps at it.

I would also like to add that drunk people with foreign accents are always funnier than drunk people from your home town.

Maybe my favorite segment ever.

It was slightly uncomfortable, like watching the UK Office can make you embarrassed for the characters, but it was entertaining.

Re: Video game podcasts

The very opening of the segment he's speaking in a voice that sounds like he's making fun of super nerdy gamers. "let me tell you why video games are amazing", it made me laugh. But then when he keeps on going I really started to feel embarrassed for him like boredsilly said. But man some of that dialogue was funny as hell. "I just don't know if I can wrap my hands around that boner". Garnett would try to help him out by translating what the dude was saying into a language people can understand and then he would interrupt Garnett and say "let me talk to you about this!!!"
